BRAWL was a really good movie i cant believe i hadn't seen it before

Nice Picture & Audio on this Blu-ray edition. I opted for the Blu-ray this time as the word is that the blu-ray is comparable to the 4k edition. I've never been much of a Vaughn fan so I was surprised that I enjoyed his portrayal as a low key badass as much as I did. Elements of this film reminded me of 70's exploitation fare without the Tarantino-twists. It's simply a situation concerning imperfect people forced into a bad situation which generally spirals out of control & over the top. In this case a Badass in a BadAssed situation. Vince Vaughan is not a small man (est. 6'4" , 200+ lbs) & they play this up as much as possible resulting in some unflinching & convincing brutality. As an aside, the soundtrack is a curious mixture of 70's soul etc. I also recommend this Director, S. Craig Zahler's previous effort "Bone Tomahawk", which stars Kurt Russell, especially if you enjoy gritty, exploitation-esque westerns. All-in-all these are fun guy movies & I look forward to Zahler's next effort.

The movie is so good and action packed ! It’s a must watch

This movie is one of the very best movies to come out last year. Gritty and unforgiving this is one of the greatest action dramas of modern times. Vince Vaughn is a revelation in a role that in a just world would have garnered him an Oscar nomination. Tough, brutal and uncompromising this movie will be talked about for all time by those who seek it out. Do youself a favor and add it to your library.

I heard a lot about this movie and picked it up on sale. Very happy to have watched it and now own it. Lots of great action and the picture looks amazing. While, there is no HDR on this release, it still looks amazing!

This is the first time i have seen Vince Vaughn in a more serious role, and i believe he does a great job! There is no doubt this movie has plenty of violence and difficult scenes to watch, but the action and story are pretty good.

This vince vaughn led movie was a surprising story, and the fact that vince vaughn was not his usual self and played this role pretty straight forward. Definitely a hidden gem.

vince vaughn other than comedy kind of hard to watch

Brawl in Cell Block 99 is INCREDIBLE. While it starts off odd and slow, it eventually builds to a sensational experience. Vince Vaughn gives the best performance of his career. This is not for everyone though...it's a VERY violent movie when things eventually start moving.

Vince Vaughn nails his role. One of his best performances. Plays a powerful guy trying to save his wife by being forced to kill a drug lords target. Great movie . Not the typical style used to portray this story.

This is an good movie good acting good writing good directing and all-around enjoyable watch this is when filmmakers get it right they don't do it often but they definitely did it this time

Bit slower paced movie about a man running drugs to provide for his soon to be family until he ends up in prison and is given an ultimatum.

A very gritty film with an underlying story that keeps you interested throughout. I had heard good things about this film and was not let down. Recommended.
