Set during a Saturday at a California high school, this movie shows the all-too-real social interactions and struggles of a group of teens who are thrust together during a mandatory detention for and entire day. They all eventually tell their individual stories, their reasons for being in detention, and end up realizing they're not so different after all. John Hughes scored big with this one.

One of the more perceptive movies about high school in the 80s looks good on Blu-ray and is still a lot of fun. Doesn't seem nearly as dated as some other teen comedies of the time, and was really unique at the time: just a bunch of high school kids talk about themselves over the course of one day. I connected with it strongly when I was in high school in the 80s, and it still resonates for me.

This is a great movie for anyone. It takes place somewhere where we were all once before and is a movie we can all relate. And that is besides whether or not we served time in detention or not. The characters are charming and delightfully played by the cast. I would recommend this to anyone.

This was a great John Hughes classic film.My wife watches all his films over and over. His films during the 80's were what me and my wife grew up to.From Sixteen Candles,Pretty in Pink, and Ferris Bueller's day off,all related to a generation of tweens and teenagers. They don't make them like this anymore.

A cult classic that i have probably watched 50 times at least. Super coming of age romantic comedy that even relates in today's society. A fun movie that was well done with an awesome script and these 'kids' did awesome portraying their characters. Love this movie!

Now a Classic... a bunch of teens caught in a room because of detention and it's them against a principal with no love for teens or his job. During their time they find out more about themselves than they do about each other. Good music, good laughs. Good movie!

The first time I saw this movie was on a first date. It made me cry. It still does all these years later. I don’t know anyone who doesn’t feel a bit emotionally connected to this movie. You can see yourself in at least one of the characters I bet. Thank you Best Buy for having this Blu-ray available for fans like me who grew up with this.

They have nothing in common but their humanity. They have different problems, but the same underlying human weakness. Humanity, it turns out, is the great bridge builder. It can span any gap of difference. Take weakness out of this story and there is no story.

1985 a bunch of misfits acting out and becoming friends. Interesting to see how great the movie really is. Fun fact. Ferris Bueller was being shot in the same closed down high school location.

Either you love the movie or hate it, so I won't go into the plot/characters/setting. The blu-ray itself is quite impressive and the transfer of the movie is top notch. The movie download (via itunes) is not quite as good quality even though its a huge 3GB file. What sealed the deal for me was the added mini-soundtrack, also via itunes. Good value overall.

This is one of a few movies that I have owned since the VHS days. I took my son to see it in the theater for the 30th anniversary, and he fell in love with it as well. I can't wait for a 4K release, which I'm sure is inevitable.

I had been waiting for some time to buy The Breakfast Club, and fortunately came upon this special edition with some pretty decent special features. Of course, my primary reason for buying is the film, which is absolutely fantastic. An essential 80's film that translates well to modern-day audiences. Highly recommended!

This is one of my All-time favorite films ! Each actor played parts that seems to fit their real personalities ! At that time, I was only 6 years out of High School, married, with one child. But I was totally able to relate to the teenage angst depicted in the film !

This movie was a great breakthrough when it released. This steelbook edition is really cool in the locker format. Teenagers are the main crowd focus for the film and it never gets old to watch. Can be viewed again and again.

Although a product of the 80s, this film's themes and social criticisms makes it a timeless classic. The raw and real characters - thanks to stellar ad-libbing - pulls you into a detention you never wish to leave.

I'm going to age myself by saying I was a senior in high school when this movie was released. It meant so much to me then because those kids were just like me and my friends. 30 years later and this movie remains as fresh and meaningful to me. What a testament to the writing and direction of John Hughes. His talents are truly missed.

My wife and I have started collecting "old school" movies that we had on VHS for our DVD/Blu-ray collection. Came across the Breakfast Club when just browsing in the store. Had a great price so it was a no-brainer to pick it up. Great movie and certainly a must have for anyone who was born in the 80s!!

The Breakfast Club is one of my favorite movies because it is so relatable. I relate to every one of those kids for one reason or another. They were all so multi-dimensional and whether you relate to one or more for the stereotypes they encompass or the things that go deeper than that, there is certainly something for everyone to relate to in this film.
