Well it is sold out everywhere but if you are a huge breaking bad fan I would recommend it.

Breaking Bad was the greatest series ever. This boxset does it justice. I love it.

This review is in two parts, First, the series is arguably the best ever on television. The writing and acting is top notch and story builds and builds. Some series go on several seasons after they should have ended. Not so with breaking bad. Highly recomended! Second, the Barrell that I got was missing a disc. I went back to best buy and they offered to replace the missing disc with a disc from the separate seasons. It was my fault but I said yes. The container itself is nice and I like the concept, but the actual discs are held in place using plastic that look like coasters and are held in place with magnets, a system that I am skeptical about and will be taking out the discs and actually using the plastic as coasters. The video on the discs is really all over the place but generally good. The sound is not good, several of the discs have the sound so low I have to turn my TV vol up to the max. THen the next scene it is normal. I don't know if this is a defect with my discs or if something else is going on. I will be checking into it. For what I paid for the Barrel set I expect no problems and it's not what I got. I would have to recomend buying each season when they go on sale.

This review is mainly for the barrel box set, the show is exceptional- there are PLENTY of reviews available out there. This box set is by far one of the best that I have ever seen, the blu ray housing is concealed by a sleek compartment that has each individual season contained inside what is essentially a petri dish. The Blurays are nestled in-between individual sleeves that are held together by magnets, they have unique designs on them for each season, the bluray disc art has been changed for the better. On the other side of the door is a note from Creator and Showrunner Vince Giligan, along with the original Blu ray art from the individual seasons. If you go to the top of the barrel, it opens up to show you Walters Money- in side of that is your "one size fits all" Los Pollos Hermanos apron, which in of its self is awesome. Underneath that, is the Challenge Coin. If you are unfamiliar with the armed forces concept it is basically a coin that you carry around with you and plop down at a table of friends to "challenge" their commitment. They are supposed to carry them at all times- the person or persons who do not have them must buy your drinks. Vince Giligan created one for every season of the show for his cast and crew- and now he is bringing us into the fold.... This is a MUST have for any Breaking Bad fan in your life. I say buy it now and bury it under your tree.

This is one of the coolest box sets to come out this year; also check out Dexter's box set if you have not. Both are meaningful to the show, which is something fans can proudly display at home. All 6 seasons on Blu-Ray, probably nets you close to $150, if not a little higher. With the additional goodies, documentaries and the barrel, you get your money's worth at $200 over the MRP. The downfall? Is this the definitive version to own? Like Lord of the Rings or Star Wars, will there be a super edition down the road? Who knows. Don't care. I'm buying this. If you have NOT seen Breaking Bad, this is the greatest show on television. Ever.

For a great show fantastic packaging is a must. All the extra behind the scenes and in depth information really makes this set complete (not to mention the swag)

I had never seen any of these shows before a week ago, but it is now one of my favorite shows of all time.

The set is so well designed and put together. The exclusive 2 hour documentary is a must watch.
