I gifted it for my mom n she called me telling a thanks..the product is a little heavy she said n that's what we were loooking for as you want it to hold up the things when you cook food on it. as we checked similar products in other stores but din find them worth we went for it.. thanks best buy..

For 1000W, this burner can't even boil water to cook anything. Unit does get very hot around the surface (I mean the stainless steel area) and turn itself on and off at max. Also, there is a burnt rubber smell when cooking..
