I have had this coffee maker for about 6 months and I love it once I was familiar with it. I would suggest going to Breville trouble shooting website, read the common complaints which teaches you about this machine. My coffee maker became clogged, nothing I did helped....then I read a common problem was coffee particles clogging the prong that punctures the cups. Solution...spray nozzle with a can of compressed air that you use on your computers. It worked. I felt this should have been listed in the maintenance guide. Pros: I like that I can program the water temperature and the cup size. I like that it came with the little coffee basket because I do not buy K-cups, I use my own ground coffee. The manual said to use coarse grind, but I found normal grind works best. It is easy to clean. The best part...is it makes coffee very quickly. Cons: The instruction booklet could have been more detailed...it took me many bags of ground coffee to get the right brew. Preventive upkeep could have been more informative.

Wife and I were excited to get it home after waiting for it to come in...took out of box and followed instruction manual to set up and get going and nothing. Item not working. You might think that a refurbished item would be working great if it was inspected and went through and repaired like they state it is in product advertisement. I could actually understand if it was brand new off of factory line and came through with an unknown defect but this was supposedly gone through and repaired?!!!! OK!!! Man we are mad and bestbuy is going to get a earful tomorrow when we have to bring back! Still spent $140 on and apparently thats what I get for trying to save a few $$.
