This juicer is GREAT! I tried it side by side with an Acme 6100/Waring Pro juicer, and the juice was so much tastier from the breville (no comparison really!). Also, even though the acme produced dryer pulp than breville, the breville juice fountain produced almost twice as much juice! Not only that, this breville does not vibrate at all while the acme juicer would have walked off the counter if me and my boyfriend weren't hanging onto it. The breville is SO SO quiet comparing to the acme (the acme is a vibrating, ringing beast). The breville has handled everything very well so far, except for tomatoes. That's one thing it will waste totally. You're better of blending the juice with a tomato in a blender (or one of those emulsifiers from Montel, i hear they work great, better than a vitamix possibly). Anyway, i've juiced: beats, cucumbers, hard apples, carrots, cantaloupe, kiwi, oranges (it does great with oranges, which other juicers do not), broccoli, ginger, etc. You get the idea.. AND i've pretty much used the LOW setting for all. The beets do have to be cut up into smaller quarters or they get stuck. That was the only thing it didn't handle even on high speed - but that's not a very big deal - i juice 1/4 of a small beet today (you do have to work up your way with beets, or it can make you dizzy), and i cut it up into small triangles and the breville handled it all beautifully. You do have to be careful with things that are small or very juicy, as small things tend to bounce out before you get the pusher on, and very juice things sometimes can splash. Overall, though, I LOVE LOVE LOVE this juicer! I'm been using it since the week after christmas every single day, and it works awesome. It is very easy to clean. The 1st time is tricky - i couldn't figure out how to put it back together.. but if you follow the instructions you'll never have problems again. The enclosed brush is also awesome! The filter is not as hard to clean as some might have you believe. Overall, you can clean this thing in under 5 minutes after you get used to it. One tip for fresh juice - i like to pour it into chilled glasses (i have a collection of pint glasses that always sit in the freezer for beer purposes), the juice tastes great when it's cold. Another thing - I love the foam, so i never use the foam separator, but it's a nice touch... Also, i keep a spoon in the glass, because fresh squeezed juice tends to separate, so i just stir it up once in a while to keep it together. One more thing - this juicer does need to be cleaned right away. I just put the juice jug in the freezer for while i'm cleaning the juicer... Then i pour the juice into a chilled glass and enjoy thoroughly, knowing that i'm basically having a glass of a natural cancer and disease fighter :) (beets)

A great machine, powerful and juices well. I haven't seen any staining yet but then again, it's new, the plastic is brown and I wash it immediately. The foam seaparater works good too. It's easy to clean as long as you do it right away, there is no mess on the outside and the brush is perfect for cleaning the mesh screen. The plastic bag trick works perfectly too, you won't even have to wash that part (when you remember to put the bag in). It might a little on the loud side for some but it's not much louder than an espresso machine and being a little tall, it might not fit under some cabinets. This thing rocks (well...juices).

I purchased this Juicer for my Girlfriends Christmas present & let me tell you, we made the BEST Mamosas I've EVER had on Chrismas day. The Pulp you get from this Juicer is INCREDIBLE. The Defrother is Awesome to. So far we we have made Apple Juice, Blueberry Juice & The most AWESOME Orange Juice EVER. Its VERY easy to clen, Quiet & What a deal I received on this!!!!!!!! If anybody doubts it's capabilities......DON'T!!!!!! I reccomend this to ANYONE who loves juice.........You will NOT be DISSAPOINTED........This thing ROCKS...Period End of Story

This is our first juicer & I must admit that I was hesitant about buying a refurb. However, besides the user manual looking used, the Juicer is perfect. VERY easy to use & clean, it's super fast & the juice is absolutely delicious!!!!

This machine is a great value for the money! I'm make fresh fruit and fresh vegi juice weekly!
