Ive been looking for a good coffee grinder. Somebody told me you should invest more in the grnider than the expresso machine. Well. They were right! Makes a huge difference. Makes different levels grind and you can select for how long. I love that i can use my expresso maker with it. I know price is steep but well worth it.

This grinder has a ton of settings, creates uniform grounds and is top-notch quality (real stainless on the sides vs plastic). Unlike most grinders you don't have to use the included collection cup to make the unit work. I purchased the "Breville - Precision Brewer Thermal 12-Cup Coffee Maker" and the gold filter that came with it is designed to nest perfectly into the collection area as well. The result is that I can grind directly into the coffee filter, saving the step of transferring the grounds; this not only saves time but it actually makes less of a mess!

We love this grinder. It’s perfect for portafilters for espresso machines and also for grinding coffee for pour overs or drip. I love that we can program shots for consistancy. I wish I’d bought this as my first grinder.
Learning curve for determining the right grind number so prepare to lose some beans at first, but it’s worth it in the end.

So easy to use and makes our lives so much easier with the automated settings. Easy to clean, it is a little loud but doesn’t bother us because it works fast.

Grinder is fast and does a good job but you have so many settings on this monster. You definitely have to dial in every bag unless you get the exact beans every time. That waste a lot of espresso.

Programmable, has adjustable grind sizes and can be calibrated. Makes okay espresso for the price, though it tends to form clumps which makes the shots under extracted if you’re not careful. Much quieter than my previous grinder. Nice that the portafilter cradle is easily removable, great feature for anyone using a variety of coffee methods. Keep an eye on warranty – the one I got broke after a day of use, but I called Breville and they replaced it, haven’t had any issues since.
Does the job for espresso. Would easily buy again.

Got this to use with the breville bambino, since you need a precise granularity for good expresso. Does a great job.
For drip coffee, I think it's a bit overkill. For espresso, it's a MUST need. Make sure you use whole beans of course (don't try grinding down already ground beans to a finer level). Also make sure you get beans with a recent roast date, otherwise it'll come out pretty sour.
