I updated from a Breville Barista Express to the Impress. I like it, it makes very good expresso and once set up it repeats. No complaints. I really didn't have any complaints about the Express either just liked the dosing and Tamp assist. Had the Express for 4 or 5 years still works great and am gifting to my wife's sister. She is so excited. Also like the coffee deal with Beanz.com, been using Peets as long as we have had the Express, again no complaints, but also enjoying the new BEANZ.

After our old all-manual Breville needed replacing after over 10 years of daily use, we got the Express Impress. The built-in grinder works well, so our old KitchenAid is now shelved. The espresso produced is tasty and rich. The steam wand and hot water dispenser works identically to our old machine, and that's Okay. Our sole disappointment is that the steam/water dial can be very difficult to turn, and this appears to be common, as see on Reddit. This may happen when the machine has been turned on but idle for a while. This is very concerning when one has a double pitcher of hot milk and it just won't turn off.

Better than Starbucks. This machine is efficient, sleek, and easy to use. It brews quickly and delivers consistently hot, flavorful coffee. The programmable timer is a convenient feature for busy mornings. Cleanup is simple with removable parts. A great value for daily coffee drinkers looking for reliability and taste in one machine.

The taste is absolutely amazing! However, for some reason the beans seem to clog up easily, and about two weeks after I bought it, the automatic grinder function started malfunctioning. I have to press the grinder button several times every time I use it, and sometimes it grinds way too much, forcing me to throw away precious beans. I’m not sure what to do about it. I am glad I went with the Breville Barista . I no longer want coffee pods or gas-station coffee. Even my husband can tell the difference when we go to restaurants. We enjoy a great espresso, Latte, americano, or Matcha tea using the hot water every morning instead of waiting in line at Starbucks before work.

I feel like I have my own cafe. I love this machine. It makes the best espresso and looks awesome on my kitchen counter. So easy to use. You can choose the automatic grind amount or go fully manual. I’m very happy with the Breville Express Impress and highly recommend it.

To begin, I originally had the Breville barista express and I loved that machine… once you get over the learning curve it’s smooth sailing. You make really good coffee as a beginner at home barista. I purchased the Breville barista express impress because I was under the impression that it would be an upgrade… It was not! You lose the control that is so key when extracting espresso. If you are a beginner, this machine might be a good fit for you but if you are now looking to upgrade, this is probably not a good fit. I regret buying this machine and might exchange it for the OG express. I also want to mention that the coffee dosage is quite inconsistent. This makes for an inconsistent shot every time.
