This is like a professional toaster. Not too high tech, but definitely 21st Century. Performs beautifully. Yes, you can get a cheaper toaster. But this thing is super consistent. I am not disappointed.

Toaster worked fine for the first two weeks. After that , the toast side on the inner slots started toasting darker than the outside slots. That’s the whole reason we got this toaster to replace an old one that was doing the same thing. Will be exchanging this one.

Mostly toasting bagels, bottom of bagel always toasted more than top - does not "crisp" the outside of the bagel

One side toaster

I purchased this toaster because of all the rave reviews but using it to toast bread leaves one side dark and the other light. You can see the heating elements light up on the outside of the slice but not the inside. I called Breville and was told that that is the way it works. Now call me crazy but I always thought a toaster should toast bread evenly on both sides. Very disappointed.
