I was always frustrated that coffee grounds were spilling out and when I saw this was available I wanted to get one immediately. It does the job very well. The coffee grounds stay in the filter where they belong. It’s made of good quality durable plastic.

For years of using the Breville, I hated getting espresso grinds spill all over the portafilter and wondered there has to be a better way. Didn't know until years later that they had this to better keep all the grinds inside the portafilter. Honestly they should've just included this with the espresso machines. The dosing funnel feels high quality. Really just get it.

I thought this item would help with fine tuning the amount of coffee (for consistency) to use and possibly support as a guide for tamping - it does neither of these functions.

Posted .We're sorry to hear of your disappointment with the Dosing Funnel. As noted in the description of the product, the Dosing Funnel attachment for the portafilter prevents coffee grinds from overflowing, to help reduce mess and waste. Less mess, less waste.
