Quite literally the best coffee maker I’ve ever owned. Super easy to use, clean, sleek, and makes a great cup of Joe.

The Good: Nice burr grinder, nice display and options to make a single cup through a pot. The Bad: everything else. 1. Coffee maker doesn’t fit under standard sizes cupboards. There is a protruding knob that makes it too tall. 2. Thermal Carafe opening is so small no reasonably sized hand can fit in it to clean. It also has a weird lip that makes it very hard to empty. 3. Pouring the coffee out of the carafe is very very slow. Like almost trickle slow. 4. Coffee in carafe immediately after brewing is warm, not hot. The instructions in the book say to preheat the carafe with warm water. Newsflash: anyone who wants to use the auto timer, so they don’t have to get up to make coffee in the morning cannot preheat the carafe. Is this defeats the purpose of the auto timer. 5. There is no heating element to keep the coffee hot. The thermal carafe is supposed to keep it hot. Refer to point #4. 6. The brew basket leaks drops across your floor when you remove it to empty and clean it. Every time. It also has a weird chute piece that holds debris so you have to make sure you don’t miss it when cleaning it. I love Breville typically, but they really have done a poor job with this coffee maker. A redesign is needed. I returned mine and I’m going back to the Cuisinart burr Grinder and coffee maker.

If you like your coffee hot, this is not the maker for you. The grinder is convenient and making it fresh does make for a good cup, but something is inadequate in the heating element on this maker. The fact that the instructions included a note to pre -heat the carafe prior to brewing should have tipped me off that this coffee will not come out hot. Nobody is going to do that. For the price of this coffee maker, it should work much better than it does. I would avoid this maker and get something else.

Simple to use and set up. Burr grinder in much quieter than my Cuisinart blade grinder. You must clean it after each use but cleaning is simple. Great looking machine that is quality made. Nothing about it is cheap! Very happy so far. Let’s see how I feel in 6 months.

My coffee is fresh and hot. So glad I bought this machine. It was easy to set up.

It's easy to use. Easy to clean. Love the brew strength adjustment. We like strong coffee and have it set at 6 using French roast. It only really eliminates one step, grinding and filling the filter. But, in my opinion, it's totally worth it. I love that u can make 2 cups or 12 cups and it tastes great. I would definitely purchase again. Hope it lasts a few years at least.

This grinder/coffee maker is the best. It grinds the beans fresh ready to make coffee. It works well, and has so many various settings, good for all tastes.

The coffee is excellent — can’t beat freshly ground beans! The carafe stays warm for hours, especially if you preheat it with some hot water. My only complaint is that the chute door mechanism at the back can be difficult to clean. It really should be cleaned every couple of uses, but I end up cleaning it when I change the beans in the hopper.

Coffee maker is nice and functional; however it would have been nice to have a notification of when more coffee beans are low or needed.

I love it, it made me realize the coffee that I had been drinking was not that good coffee that this makes is absolutely excellent robust and lots of flavor

We had this machine previously for about 15 years and after a LOT of use (I’m talking nearly our own home cafe with many many family members and guests gulping up the delicious coffee) it finally died and we had a few backup machines but we realized quickly we could not be without this machine specifically. So we replaced with this updated version and all in well in our caffeinated blissful home! The grind control is outstanding. Each cup can be customized. For bigger gatherings we use the carafe. The taste of FRESHLY ground coffee in each up incomparably tasty. Even better it’s fairly priced for the high end taste and personalization.

I have been looking for a coffee maker that was capable of making from 1 cup to 1 pot. I also wanted an insulated carafe and a grinder. This checks all the boxes and makes great coffee. I was able to tweak the settings and my coffee is the same every time, not too strong, not too weak.

This machine makes a magnificent cup of coffee. Definitely a learning curve on finding the right bean and strength. For me, i use 100% Kona beans and strongest setting. I only have make single cups and have not made a carafe yet. That single cup is like GOLD in the morning - simply an AWESOME cup of coffee. Very happy with this puchase

Makes great coffee!!! I recommend good quality coffee beans for the best results. Some review suggest it takes to much work to clean after each brewing, however, I find it takes me 2-3 minutes tops, and that is being VERY thorough! Very much worth it in my opinion.

I've read other reviews before buying this coffee maker. They said that it was hard to clean but I disagree. The only extra step is wiping off the disk at the back of the coffee basket to clean off the coffee grounds. Cleaning the basket is super easy, just throw away the paper filter and rinse it out. Super easy. I like the grinder and this machine makes excellent coffee. In my opinion, it's worth the price.

I like a solid "German like" appliance.. The Breville Grind Control 12 cup just gets it right. Made with great materials and the needed features I wanted.. If you are a coffee drinker who is looking to graduate out of pre-ground coffee-hood.. This unit is an excellent step up! With a good quality bean you can really enjoy a cup of quality coffee here. Good price, value, and features.. with a nice ease of use.. I can recommend this unit (Breville) with ease..
