We are enjoying the new 75 inch TV a lot but not happy about the installation work. The installers came in, said that the in-wall boxes could not fit into the space between the dry wall and the concrete block. They drilled 4 holes in the family room wall and the outside patio wall, installed the two televisions and left with the wires hanging down from the TV to the outlet near the floor. My wife was very upset, especially with the wires hanging down in the family room. So we called an electrician and he came and installed a new box up behind the TV on the patio. He and I took down the new 75 inch Samsung in the family room wall and he cut holes in the dry wall and ran the cords down inside and back out near the electrical outlet near the floor. He used small plastic frames that went into the dry wall and covered them with wall plates that the TV wires went through. He said anyone could have done that since the wires were connected to electric and TV outside the drywall. He charged us $500.00+ and left. The money I paid for the 2 wall outlet boxes that were not installed by the geek squad were refunded to me but I’m upset about the extra money I was charged for the premium TV mounting (SKU:3008018 on the invoice) along with the “Brick Stone or Concrete Wall Type” (SKU:4570100 on the invoice). When I asked the Best Buy Rep about this before paying for the TV and installation, he said “it’s in case they have to do things that are more complicated or take more time during the install”, so I let him keep it on the quote. What I saw was NO ATTEMPT to do anything outside of looking at the wall and saying, “nope the wall box won’t fit”! They just drilled four holes in each wall and bolted the mounts to them. Zip tied the wires running down the outside of the family room wall and left. Needless to say I want to be refunded the $49.99 for the patio TV (since it was not 55 inch or larger) and the $79.99 for EACH TV that was not wired inside the wall. The $159.98 and $49.99 (and tax) doesn’t come close to covering the $500.00+ electrician bill but it would least make me feel like I hadn’t been taken the cleaners on this installation. I did pay for the 1 year Geek Squad $200.00 deal to avoid having to pay $200 to install each TV, but when you add the $159.99 and 49.99 you get…. more than $200.00 so I didn’t really save anything by doing that?

The agents were very helpful answering all my questions and made helpful suggestions. The installation had no issues and went very quick.

We had Chris and Janelle install 2 TVs on stone fireplaces and they were fantastic. We could not have asked for any better installers. Best Buy is very lucky to have these two on their staff!

The agents came in and did a great job with our install as well as providing us information and insight on how they work. Our only issue is the formality that the Geek Squad does not have ladders, so I had to purchase my own after trying to arrange install twice.

The new TV works perfectly with the full movement arm. I can watch TV from the patio or dinner table. Good set up job by the install team.

The Geek Squad installers were great !! They were very patient with my husband & I. We’re not tech savvy & they were so nice to work with.

Did a great job hanging my TV up. He suggested that he could hide the wires behind the wall on the 2nd TV we hung in our bedroom. Cleaned up and was very kind!

One of my fireplaces is stone and the drill bits they had wasn’t cutting it, so they went to the store and returned to finish the job and did a fantastic job

The service team did an awesome job with dealing with our tile mount. We definitely didn't want to do the job ourselves and risk breaking any of the nice tilework.

The installers mounted the tv and cleaned up before they left. The practiced CDC guidelines and social distancing. We are very satisfied.

Install very neat and professional. But Geek Squad is demeaning. Change the name of the Geek Squad. These are highly qualified professionals that do great work.

Geek squad did an awesome job installing a tv, speaker bar and mounts for both on 100 year old plaster walls.

They mounted my tv on an outside wall being sure to bolt through concrete wall they set the tv up for optimal viewing they are the best
