I watched this film the evening I purchased it. It is directed by the same director that did the 1st Guardians of the Galaxy film. But this film is on a completely different level. Definitely not for the squeamish. I was on the edge of my seat through out the entire movie. Without giving anything away, I hope they do a sequel for this film. It was that good! I gave it 5 stars...

I had high expectations and was not disappointed. It is one of those movies that you like even better when you think about it after. Crisp and clean blu ray with cool extra features. The after the credits could set up a whole universe. Bought a ton of movies for Black Friday.

If you're tired of all these movies acting like all comic books are nothing but superheroes that do nothing but good and never harm a fly, yet when you're a serious comic book reader you realize it's a lot more mature and dark finally a movie that takes you more seriously, if you enjoyed watchmen if you enjoyed the darker takes on comic books, this is a great movie for you. Don't get me wrong some movies are pretty good too, take what they did with old man Logan a messy comic book, that movie (Logan) was great but rather than I do not own any of the other Marvel movies because they're just not for me, I stopped being a kid long time ago I started reading comic books when I was a kid and even then they were darker than a lot of these movies now a days that are, they're fun and entertaining for the masses, but just a bit to kidish for me, DC Usually has a more mature taken these things but lately they've been feeding the masses instead of the comic book readers hopefully they fix that, Some of these new movies like the Joker seem to have a more mature taken in the story telling, which I like, just like this movie, it's not for kids that's for sure, It's not perfect but it's a good fun watch especially if you want a more dark taken to story telling, Pay attention to the end credits hopefully they carry on I'm making more movies like this.

Brightburn feels like an incomplete movie. There is essentially no third act, at least not within a more traditionally structured story. The film introduces the character and sees him grow into his powers while cutting ties with everything that once loved and could love him, but it leaves it at that. There's no challenge, no conflict, no opposition on his plane. Perhaps the opposition is emotion, but there's also no pull between right and wrong, and the family ties are not strong enough to even tempt Brandon to step away from mayhem. The picture is passably entertaining, at least, and it's technically sound, but it needs more. Sony's UHD offers little video upgrading over the Blu-ray -- slightly improved color and contrast are really about it -- but the Dolby Atmos soundtrack is a clear step up from the Blu-ray's 5.1 lossless track. Recommended.

This movie is just phenomenal!!! It’s just really good! Yeah it’s got it’s flaws but it’s so entertaining. It’s pretty much a dark side story of Superman, I really appreciated leaving the character thinking he’s still a kid instead of thinking himself as a living god like his drawings mean in the movie. It’s dark, it’s GORY, but it does lack emotion between the kid and his parents. Very well crafted dark superhero movie. Definitely a must watch! Don’t expect lots of action right away, remember this is an origins movie

I did not have the chace to see this movie when it was on theaters, and now that its finally out on 4k and digital i have to say it really is a great film to watch. I wish there was a little more to the story, but James Gunn brought a great concept to the table with this movie. I really hope it picks up a sequel, and maybe a sony/DC partnership? to bring Dark Justice League now that Gunn is also part of DC.

Don’t wanna destroy and experience of enjoyment soo ill jus say very well worth the money!! The acting was on par and the score helped drive the movie along its creepy and suspenseful storyline! This morning had my attention the entire time and I watch a lot of movies at times and this one had me glued to the entire time!

Even though I expected little more action, The movie was good overall. I Loved It, Brightburn gives you that cringy, “I can’t look” feeling. This movie had some moments when you just had to look away ! Ultimately, I enjoyed every bit of it. I would definitely recommend this to a friend.

I was going to pass on this movie originally, but decided out of boredom to pick it up and it did not disappoint. I enjoyed it a lot. It is an interesting twist to a new movie genre I suppose, Superhero horror. The kid is definitely creepy, not a lot of shocks, but is very entertaining.

Heard about this movie from my friends that it was worth seeing when it was in the theatres. Never had a chance. When it was on sale, had to purchase it. My friends were right. It’s an entertaining movie. “What if Superman was evil” story was done well. A good movie to watch.

For superhero fans that always wondered what if he was bad instead of good...yeah we’ve imagined it, thought about it briefly, but seeing it and how far they pushed the envelope... a must watch for superhero fans, i liked it, seen it a few times already..can’t wait for part 2, maybe even 3

Great underrated film. A somewhat alternate take on the Man Of Steel story- from hell! Don’t mess with this kid, there’s no mercy. Sharp, bright colors and excellent sound with 7.1 Dolby Atmos. If you’re a Superman fan and horror movie buff, this film is up your alley.

If superman was evil this is how he would have been in his younger years. Basically don't tick evil off.... It will find you...Does a kid with a troubled childhood with unearthly powers scare you? If so.....then this movie will keep you wanting more.

Brightburn is a solid horror movie, and you'll probably enjoy it more if you've never seen the trailer, which gives away everything that happens in the film. Looks great in 4K though, and it comes with a decent amount of bonus features.

I watches this movie with my dog. Hes grey and barks at alot of things. Once we were walking and he saw a cat and he was all woof woof. Bark bark. That cat was scared. Then we got ice cream and laughed and laughed. I don't have a dog and he was a ghost.

Well this film is for you! Filled with horrific gore galore and some shocking moments, this film creates a sub genre of horror that is very fun. Some funny moments and if you're a fan of well executed gore in horror, you'll be happy with this one for sure!

Surprised me when I saw it in the theater. Great to bring it home and watch it again noticing so many details overlooked when I first saw it. The extras explain a lot of the concept development and uniqueness of this movie.

I REALLY enjoyed this movie. It was a perfect "what if" scenario. What would have been had our symbol of truth justice and the amercian way had gone dark? You don't have to ask, just watch this movie! And look for the "cameos" at the very end...

This turns the origin story on its head. Not the origin of a super hero but that of a evil alien with super powers. it combines the mythos of an alien baby coming to earth with the horror of its evil nature.
