This turns the origin story on its head. Not the origin of a super hero but that of a evil alien with super powers. it combines the mythos of an alien baby coming to earth with the horror of its evil nature.

I have been looking for this movie for a while now and so happy Best Buy had it. Absolutely love it! Twisted yet fun.

You know...I'm all about alternate endings and different takes on reboots. This one was good. A 'bad' superman is definitely something to consider... **Spoiler** This is NOT a Disney-esk type of film -grin-

I unfortunately missed this movie in theaters but the wait was worth it 4K. It really took the Superman mythos and turned it on its head. If you want a completely different take on the superhero genre this is it. Highly recommended.

This movie is GREAT! It's a dark superhero horror movie so it is creepy cool and terrifying! This is what would happen if Superman came from a malevolent race of conquerors instead of the benevolent peaceful people of Krypton.

Good take on a super person movie. Think superman origin story, but if he was meant to be a destroyer of worlds instead of a hero o world. Fun watch, pretty dark and brutal at times solid movie.

We saw this movie in the theater and I really enjoyed it. Granted I had my own nitpicks with it. Can't get into detail about them or they will be spoilers. I recommend giving this movie a view.

Movie but I’m unsure of the direction and if it’s going to be tied to a Superhero to stop him, because I don’t think it has anything to do with Marvel or DC, maybe Hancock or the MIB lol! Outside of that it was a good movie!

Brightburn is a 2019 American Horror Superhero film directed by David Yarovesky and produced by James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy 1 & 2, Slither). I won't talk a whole lot about the movie's plot but it is basically a more scary evil version of Man of Steel, but for what it is it's still a very fun flick. I really hope David Yarovesky will continue the Brightburn storyline with a sequel down the road. May not be for everyone but those who are huge fans of the Superhero genre, as well as the Horror genre, and just overall gory movies will definitely enjoy this movie. 8/10 PQ: Picture quality on this 4K disc is great as usual of Sony Pictures. Black levels are solid throughout, the sharpness & detail is there, and the colors truly pop. The HDR10 aspect really makes this movie shine. This is a very vibrant & crispy clean picture quality throughout. AQ: Audio on this 4K disc is presented in Dolby Atmos (Dolby TrueHD 7.1 for those who aren't interested in height speakers) and that track is just as awesome as the picture quality. Bass effects are deep & impactful without being too boomy, dialogue is always loud & clear enough to hear, the surround activity is great, and when appropriate the height activity is so good it'll make you turn your head almost everytime like "Where's this sound coming from!?". This Atmos track is a great listen. Extras: The only extra on this 4K disc is a commentary audio track, all the rest of them are on the 1080p Blu-ray disc. Not much more to say about this. Final verdict: Brightburn is a all-around fun flick and it's kind of a shame this didn't make as much money as the other films released around the same period as this film. Highly recommended.

A good little twist on the adolescent Superman story. It's been asked "What if Superman used his powers for evil?" Brightburn gives us a good (and gory) idea. NOT for the kiddies, at all.

As a film geek, I am always thrilled to see something that raises the bar and uses conventions not seen in the genre previously. It promises a lot — and it delivers!! I look forward (hopefully) to the next one!

This is a fun film to watch with friends and family. The cast is great and producer is no stranger to the superhero/villain genre. Must add to your collection if you haven’t already.

James gunn to the love of superman and showed what might have happened if he turned the opposite. They hint at others and rumors of a sequel.. I cant wait to to how that plays out..

I'll be honest, this was purchased for my husband. I don't enjoy this sort of movie, but if you do, this is a good one. Otherwise it wouldn't be sitting on our DVD shelf now.

I really enjoyed this movie. It did not contain a whole lot of fluff, it got right to the point. Definitely kept you on the edge of your seat. I would definitely recommend.

A lil slow during the first half, but trust me here... the last hour really makes up for it. Not for kids and makes you really think what if someone really had the abilities to do something like this.

It's a super hero horror movie! So dont show this to kids. Somewhat original in concept, it just needed a little more to make it a must see. It's good but not great and 4K really isnt necessary.

Not for everyone, this movie has unpleasant and graphic scenes, but it is a fun dark twist to the proposition of what if Superman landed and was not really a nice person.

This was a great movie that portrays something a lot of us comic nerds will never see, an evil Superman movie. While it's not actually Superman, it's pretty darn close. Highly recommend this one!

Brightburn is the movie we all have wished at some point Superman could be. Okay maybe we didn't expect there to terrible consequences, but maybe we did. The movie keeps you engaged throughout.
