    Got this to replace a 20 year old kenmore hood. perfect fit and looks great. Changing was as easy as could be. I would have chosen a more powerful one if I had known what I was doing. But this one is adequate

    Any nice quality about this range hood is FAR outweighed by a huge negative: the lights quit working and you can't just replace a simple switch. You have to replace the "control assembly", and it costs $200. to 300. Ditto for the fan. Terrible engineering. An atrocious design flaw. Very disappointed in Broan. Do not buy a Broan range hood that has a "control assembly" instead of simple switches for the lights and fan. It's the difference of hundreds of dollars vs. a few dollars.
