By now, "Brokeback Mountain" is a certified American film classic, but of course it was groundbreaking when it was first released. I can't write anything about it greater than what has been written or said in the years since its release, other than to say it's simply one of my favorite films of all time. It's one of the greatest, most honest, raw love stories in the history of cinema, which honestly portrays heart-wrenching romantic longing of a kind that was forbidden by society at the time the film is set. Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal give fine performance, especially Ledger. As does Michelle Williams. From "The Ice Storm" to "Ride With the Devil" to "Brokeback Mountain" to "Taking Woodstock," I never fail to be impressed and engrossed by director Ang Lee's deep-down real portrayals of American life, and "Brokeback Mountain" is his crowning achievement. A beautiful film.

This is a touching love story. Many critics have said that this, as well as The Dark Knight, are the best movies Heath ever did. Now that he is gone, and I watch it again, it is that much sadder to have lost such a genius.

This is one of those epic love stories that only come around every other decade. This film has rich characters, deep story and great epic scenery. This is a must in any movie collection especially Blu-ray.

No one can help who they fall in love with... Great performances, great direction, and a moving/realistic story. Actually had me crying by the end.

This should have gotten Ang Lee an Oscar for Best Picture. Memorable and heartbreaking. Love is universal.

It was a great movie and I absolutely loved it. It was moving and I cried at the end which is kind of unusual for me.

So it's a love story. The only real twist here is that it's two guys instead of a normal love story. I didn't think it was all that great.
