This was a lovely movie. My mother immigrated to America from Ireland so I was naturally drawn to this movie. It really captures the heartache of leaving home and having to deal with cultural differences. So happy I bought it.

I didn’t think this movie would be that good but it surprised me. The story was well done and the photography was beautiful. I would definitely recommend the movie. I can see why the film was nominated at the Academy Awards.

I had heard that there was Oscar buzz about this film and I didn't get a chance to see it in the theater. I am really glad i bought it! My sister and I were so impressed by the young lead actress, she did a wonderful job!

This charming film about a a young Irish woman immigrating to America is worth buying and watching more than once. The story of her dilemmas and resolution is filmed beautifully and accompanied by a wonderful soundtrack.

This is a powerful and heartfelt story of an Irish girl and her hopes, struggles and dreams of immigrating to America. There are many challenges and twists and turns with great acting and character development.

Excellent portrayed story and very well acted. Kept my interest for the duration. Blu-ray quality is excellent. Great movie for a collector worthy of many viewings.

This movie was not only a love story, but a story of the main characters journey from her life in Ireland to a new life in America. The love scene was not essential to the plot of the movie and could have been left out.

I enjoyed the look into Irish immigration into Brooklyn, where I grew up. The acting was superb. The Blu-Ray and Digital HD purchase was worthwhile. Enjoyed the director's back story and decisions on what was deleted.

I love this movie, and have had it on my dvr for a while. I’ve been wanting it on dvd since I first watched it. I’m glad I was finally able to get it.

This is a great movie. It is especially enjoyable if you have Irish ancestry. You feel the pull to this beautiful country and the difference in culture in New York and coping being away from family and friends.

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. I love that it focused on the story without using unnecessary elements to try to make it into something it wasn't. It was a good love story for the period of time that it's set in.

My fiancée picked this one up and she loved it. I thought it was an excellent film too. Bluray transfer is top notch and looks amazing. Highly recommended if your a fan of the movie or want a romantic movie night

Brooklyn was a very sweet story about a young women trying to make a life for herself and finding love. Saoirse Ronan gives a powerful performance as she is able to convey emotion with just small facial movements.

I will watch this one again and again. Simple story but everything about it is authentic - even the score by Mr. Brook. Wonderful acting all around and simply a fantastic and beautiful film. Highly recommended!

This movie is an excellent period piece. Examines the conflict between love for family and true love for a potential mate. Definitely a "chick flick", but the storyline will hold anyone's interest.

More than advocating for an robust artistic film, I believe you should check Brooklyn for an inspiring Immigration story, with a good dose of romance. But not corny, Valentine's day fare. Rather a great mix about choosing the future. Excellent extras and presentation on the BluRay.

I'm not the biggest fan of sappy romance movies but this one is definitely a keeper. Good heartfelt story, well written, makes you care about the main character and sympathise with her decision. Great acting performance by the main actress. I believe she was even nominated for an Oscar. She should've won.

Great movies only come once in a lifetime. Outstanding acting and brilliant performances. I can't believe Saoirse Ronan is all grown up. I've loved her work ever since atonement. Saoirse does it again.

Brooklyn is an excellent movie. Good story; well acted. A movie for grown ups. Made me think of my grandmother, who moved to America from Scotland when she was about the same age as the lead character.

I absolutely loved this movie when I saw it at the theater & I couldn't wait for it to be released on DVD so that I could purchase it. You will not be sorry if you buy it because it's a wonderful movie.
