I really like this scanner although I have not used it full capabilities. I used to scan a page at a time on my printer scanner, so it took a while to scan things. Now with this scanner I could scan multiple pages quickly and it also scans both sides. I have only used it while its hooked up to the computer but it could also scan to a flash drive if your sitting in front of tv and don't have it connect. I really recommend this product to people that want to go paper less.

Only had this scanner for a few weeks now but so far it has worked very well. I scan 6 - 12 documents a day to send to different members of a non profit organization. The wi fi capability is very nice. A little tricky to setup but that's true for most wi fi connections. Overall setup was fairly simple. Came with some nice software packages that help you scan and manage documents. The scan speed is very fast compared to the all in one printer/scanners I have been using and the scan quality is very good. I can easily read all the fine print of scanned documents. Overall I'm very happy with this product.

I have been on the hunt for a document scanner that didn't cost a fortune. The ads-15w was on sale. I have a mac and the setup was easy but didn't seem to have as many options as the window version of the software. I scanned some items. The scanning was smooth. The machine is solid and well made. I was looking for a scanner that would make 20 seperate files out of 20 sheets of paper that would be loaded. I wanted to be able to walk away. I would have to enter each sheet in seperately to get seperate files which defeated the purpose for me. I tried to talk myself into keeping it but in the end I had to return it. I'm still on the hunt. If you are looking for a good portable scanner. This is a great scanner.

I was looking for a document scanner that wouldn't set me back a ton of money. Something that I could quickly & easily scan receipts and business cards when I got home. This is perfect; small, quick, has a separate slot for scanning ID cards. It can scan directly to USB flash drives and on top of it, It can scan wirelessly. Love it.

Scanner can be slow when scanning color documents in wireless mode. It is faster when using the supplied USB cable. Tends to jam sometimes when scanning multiple pages that are crisp. Overall it is decent scanner. It came with Paperport SE 12. I haven't used other scanning software so I find this software decent. Paperport SE 12 also sees the scanner on my officejet. I have not used it with the officejet and eventually will to do the light scanning.

Setup was super easy and fast. Scanning is speedy, especially for full color duplex. I love the compact design - the scanner folds into itself to take up very little desk space. The included software works great, but I've also tested it with a different software package I was using with my old scanner - works fine with both. It's super portable, although it does require external power. My only complaint is that it sometimes feeds slightly crooked, but it's an easy fix. Overall, super happy with this purchase.

In process of digitalizing as much hardcopy as I can. Respectively fast, does not jam at an unreasonable pace and is easy to set up. Not much reason to go to higher priced model unless you are very impatient.

I bought this scanner to help reduce the amount of paper copies I had of important documents and to start an efficient digital filing system. I wasn't sure if this scanner would be up to the job since it wasn't the highest end choice - not only was it easy to set up but it's also very easy to use. I was able to scan documents quickly and save them as PDF files to reference later. Overall it got the job done with little to no effort to set up and get started.

It's very small, taking up very little desktop space, and seems to perform very well thus far. The included software leaves a lot to be desired so take that with a grain of salt. It is not moved around my office but, because it's on my home network, I can scan from any computer at home without having to move it. This is a plus as the settings aren't retained if you turn it off or unplug it.

I have two larger scanners used for big projects. Problem is everyday I don't have a large project. But everyday I have a few things to scan in the course of my day. I used to pile up documents to scan once a week but it just wasn't getting it. So I go to Best Buy and pick-up this scanner for use on the go and when I travel. This Brother scanner is great! I'm now able to scan documents on the go. No longer do have have a bin labeled to scan. My productivity has increased and now instead of needing to find a document from a customer it's already on my computer or iPad. I've used this scanner to scan over a seven hundred documents in 6 weeks and it works great. I use Adobe Acobat Professional and it works pretty good with the latest version but once there was a software glitch after 200 scans that day. So I go to my older version of Adobe Acrobat Professional with this scanner and there is no problems for the rest of that day. I'm back to using the latest version and there are no troubles but I haven't scanned that many documents in one day since. The scanner has a USB port and all the bells and whistles needed to do different types of work when needed. Glad I purchased this product.

I like the small footprint of this scanner and the ability to fold closed. It scans quickly and easily, and does what I want it to do, such as color double sided. The included scanner software is very used friendly and setup was surprisingly simple. Whole package is fully configurable to anyone's desired personal settings.

Aside from some glitches with the software and issues with odd shaped items, this is a great basic scanner. It is incredibly compact (folds up to a very small footprint), which makes it easy to quickly scan whenever you need.

Have some sort of tech background before getting into this one. There is a lot of software which is cool but it is kinda overwhelming. But, it works great. Wish there was a tray to grab the paper after the scan.

If you have a lot of papers to scan, I recommend this product. Brought this scanner because I have similar scanners at work and saw how quick and easy it is from using it at work. Brought me one to organize my home office and to go paperless. I now use it to scan in mail coming in and to organize.

This is by far the best value scanner-only devise you can get. It is also portable so very convenient if you are on the go. Fairly easy to set up and worked with this for about a week now, not a single issue. Just works like a charm!

I entered the market for one of these scanners after I realized that 90% of the papers in my office did not need to be originals and remain in a file cabinet. so I said what are my options? I was gunna just scan them and upload it to my computer using my printer but then I realized that it would take me weeks to edit each digital document and have them all stored and organized into a digital file...then It hit me, I remembered commercials for the "neat" It was a scanner with a dedicated purpose to de clutter your desk. which was exactly what I needed! it advertised as the businessman's best friend and it was portable unlike a traditional printer/flat bed scanner. but that came out years ago and it was very outdated compared to todays standards. so where does that leave us? well wouldn't you know a whole bunch of recognizable brands decided to come up with their own version. after reviewing all the ones they had on display I was down to 3 models. the Epson ff640 which was almost 600 bucks. the fujitsu for almost 500 bucks or the brother for almost 400 bucks. and I thought why are they so expensive? and I realized the machine was worthless. what your paying for is the name, the software and the portability. so I dug a little deeper and found that brother had made a smaller version for 300 bucks. So I said that was pretty reasonable. picked "the last one on the shelf" from my local bb and brought it home. a month later and guess where it is...back in the store lol. yep it was nice but brother had to make up the cost somewhere. they dumbed down the software and once you run all your documents through the feeder you still have to use the program they give you to re edit and name each one. which is what I was trying to avoid the whole time. it was a waste and my mistake is I already shredded every document. so thanks brother. save yourself the time and just buy a neat desk for 200 if you can deal with the out dated firmware or shell out the extra bucks and go for brothers flagship at least its not as bad as the other 2. oh and don't bother buying those handheld junk. unless ur only scanning one paper a month its stupid.

So I've had this scanner for almost a month now, and have to say this is very versatile and one of the best scanners I've had the pleasure of using in a long time. I have NAS and it is able to scan directly into the desired folders without the need of anything else and does so very fast. The DPI of course is not meant for pictures but for documents it is more than enough. The OCR software included is sub par, but the ability to directly upload to google drive allows you to make use of google drive OCR if needed. You can also go back and do OCR on files you scanned direct to network at a later time as well which was great. BR Reciepts is also descent software, I've no experience with Neat profiducts but my guess would be it is not as refined as their software, however the fact that you do not need to maintain a monthly subscription was what made this a much better deal for me.

The scanner is fairly simple to use. It seems to deliver what was advertised on the box. The applications are descent but could use a little more improvement to function more intuitively. For example, scanned business cards don't line up very well. Older similar programs have shown that business card scanning and data collection can be streamlined to be intuitive and immediately useful. Overall, the product gets what it essentially was purchased for at a descent price.
