as i said people may say its a little bulky but i like that kind of design in a copier beacuse you dont have treat devices like youre walking over eggshells, i wanted a nice copier, but kind of the old style copier so that i could just press a button and done, i used to have some HP copiers most of the inkjet and they just did not cut it, if you have a small office, this is the best you can get, it comes with a low ink cartridge for about 1000 copies, the medium one gives you up to 1500 copies for like 45 dollars, as i sad its fast, easy to use, big buttons a 250 sheet tray etc. enjoy

I bought this printer to replace a color ink jet. The ink cartridges were expensive, I was constantly running out and the print quality was nothing to write home about. I debated spending the money for a laser printer for a while, and then I broke down and bought this one. I could not be happier. It is fast, quiet, prints and scans beautifully and the toner cartridge lasts and lasts. Since I hardly ever print in color and I do not have a home phone for faxing anymore (I scan to PDF and e-mail), this is the perfect machine for me.

This all-in-one has exceeded all expectations. I've had many laser printers and all-in-one machines and this one is as good as advertised for the money. "Most bang for the buck". Easy control center function on computer allows seamless scanning and converting to a wide variety of formats - also good print and copy quality. Although the glass top is letter-sized, scanning and copying of legal-sized documents can be easily and seamlessly accomplished by using the document feeder. This purchase was recommended by a friend and I'm delighted with the price and the product.

This printer was a perfect fit for me because I did not want a full on multifunction printer that was a laser printer that would put a big dent in my bank account. This printer has the basics of a multifunction printer and some of its draw backs. Note from the specs that it is Big, so be prepared to allot it some real estate in you computer room. It is not network ready which would be an amazing plus at this price but if looking for just a printing capability with wireless then the HL-2170w is a perfect for you. Copying on this printer is pretty solid. No paper Jams yet. Original toner has lasted me since buying it five months ago but then again I am not printing every document I come across. All in all its a great buy!

While this is my first laser printer I don't have much comparison between others. However, I do a LOT of printing for school and needed to move to laser from ink so save some money. This printer has exceeded my expectations, it prints so fast and I have saved so much money! It is bulky compared to my ink jet printer but it really doesn't bother me.

I really like this printer. Great quality printing that is economical as well. The communication between the unit and the computer is great and the software enables me to take large files and convert them into PDF for fast email docs. The fax works great and the scan works good too but the quality isn't the best. All in all for the price, this is a great value!

Easy to install, easy to use. If you have a few extra bucks buying a laser printer is going to save you a lot in the long run. I have had 5 printers in the past 3 years. There is really no excuse for that. The little 100.00 all in ones are not worth your money. In my opinion this printer is money well spent.

I replaced an older Brother copier with this copier and am considering purchasing a second for my office. It is a smaller unit, less expensive with the features that I required. For a basic copier it performs beautifully.

I bought this printer for using printer, copier, and scanner. Most of multi-function printers have fax in it, but I did not need a fax. So I choose this printer, and price was very reasonable. Printing speed is very fast.

I bought this printer 2 days ago and I love it besides didn't printer in both sides but the moment works with my copies, printers and scanners, everything are great. I love brother product!
