Original purchase had to be returned due to WiFi firmware gone bad. Geek tech had it replaced and just like it was initially with the first one setting up the printer was a no brainer with the built in setup wizard. Took less than 10 minutes. Once WiFi pass was entered, I was printing and scanning direct from my mobile devices.

Brother’s DCP-L2550DW is their new low-priced wireless all-in-one monochrome laser printer, copier, and (color) scanner - it does NOT have fax capability. It is basically an office-quality printer for home use. It has a document feeder that handles 50 pages, a large-capacity paper tray (250 pages), a manual feed slot for things like envelopes and card stock, can process duplex print jobs, and has a top print rate of 36 ppm. I have it setup as a wireless printer and find that the printer wakes up from sleep mode instantaneously for a new print job (it’s really impressive) - it can also be established as a wired network printer or can be used as a dedicated USB printer. Naturally, it allows printing from mobile devices. Brother estimates that standard toner cartridges will yield 1200 pages (high-capacity toner cartridges should yield 3000 pages) - the included toner is a low-capacity introductory (?) cartridge and will yield closer to 600 pages. It feels like it is solid and well-constructed - but be aware that it’s going to take up a lot of space - it’s large and kinda heavy (but surprisingly quiet). I only have one gripe-y comment about this heavy-duty beast - it is way better designed to be operated from a computer than from the machine itself. Navigation of modes and features from the machine’s control panel is done by way of arrows and an ‘OK” button and a two-line LCD display. It feels almost intentionally unintuitive - surely this design allowed Brother to keep costs down but since they already have LCD touchscreen technology developed and available in some of their other machines, I’m not sure how much more this would have affected the cost of this low-end model.

I would give it 4.5 stars if given the choice. The product works great and well worth the investment. The only downside is setting up the scanner functions to run from my computer instead of only on the machine's menu screen.

It’s been almost a year since I got my printer and it works perfectly like it was day one. I’m happy that I bought it!

The printer works fine for printing documents. The problem is with the scanning and copying functions. There are no good instructions included and set up is more difficult than it should be.

Wireless printing from my iphone was fairly easy. So was Printing from my laptop. I had to contact brother to help with scan to email, which required me to download the brother app. I’ve had the printer for about a month. The only down side i’ve noticed is that it is often slow in printing. Once it was slow in turning off… probably because i just finished printing. The print comes out a little on the light side - but still using the toner cartridge that came with it.. according to what i read, the starter cartridge will print about 700 pages…. So I’m guessing 500 pages

Came in a rather large box and the printer itself is large. But for the price it is worth it.

We bought this Brother all-in-one laser printer to replace one we had that was very similar. This one also does a great job with printing, scanning, and copying, which is what we use it for. It has the added benefit of being able to do a two-sided print.

I had been used Hp and epson recently. But cost a lot money for every time to renewal the inks also not work very good if you not use for a while, because the inks dry out. But this time I try laser printers and work very good and fast. I don't have problem to set up the wifi, I used the cd came with printer to set up easy and fast. I hope I will save money for the inks in the future, and also Bestbuy gave me the good deal prices match with Amazon.

Love this wireless printer. Whenever I want to print something from anywhere it just prints in one click and it is a two sided printer.

This printer has worked wonderfully for my home office. I don't need the fax machine capabilities. Set up was easy. Works flawlessly on my Windows machines. However, I am only able to print single-sided when I print out from Linux. :/

We were looking for a budget printer with good quality print. This fits the bill and replacement cartridge is also not expensive
