I’m familiar with Kenmore, Singer & Janome. This is my first Brothers and I am very impressed. It is so easy to use, reasonably priced, runs quietly & takes up little table space. I’m a quilter and wanted a machine to date and sign my quilts. After reading reviews I chose this machine. Being a Disney fan, I will be using it for much more than just the fonts on quilt tags. I researched machine embroidering and also watched several YouTube videos on the subject. I then read my Brothers manual, purchased threads that was recommended in my research and also bought stabilizer. My first attempt to embroidery lettering and dates all turned out perfect. My second attempt was a design that is pre-loaded in the machine and a quote & it, too, turned out beautifully. I have since made several items and am very pleased.

I have never used one before and a tutorial dvd would have been helpful but there is a video on the website. It has preprogrammed Disney designs and that was the main reason this machine was chosen. Very happy with this!
