Needed a printer to replace an older one. Decided to keep it simple since 99% of the time we just need to print in black and white. Easy setup and have had no problems. Print quality is more than good enough for what we need it for, and no more dealing with buying or refilling ink cartridges.

Bye Bye bubble jet printer! Finally I have a laser printer that the entire family can print on without any wires (if you do a wired connection don’t forget to pickup a usb cable because this doesn’t come with one). I unboxed and setup the printer manually. Entered my SSID and password and I was ready to print. On my windows 11 pro desktop the printer was found and added automatically. Printed wirelessly too (printer setup in another room). Test printed from my iphone without any issues. I am not using the brother mobile application. Things I like: -does not make a lot of noise -goes into sleep mode to save energy -is very small and doesn’t take up a lot of space -connected to my 5ghz band -print speed is good -prints clear Things not so good: -The LCD screen doesn’t appear to be backlit -no duplex -boring grey color doesn’t have RGB :) Packaging: The box is about 2x the size of the actual printer. They package it with styrofoam instead of recycled cardboard. Not very sustainable packaging. I am looking forward to using it without the ink (i know it is toner) drying out like my old bubble jet that printed $ for canon.

So far it works as intended. The setup was easy and I find it easy and convenient to print from my computer using Wi-Fi. Would recommend.

Replaced older brother printer needed something wireless. Purchased for my boss who does tax returns. Runs great dependable. Ge has two and they really take a beating from Jan. till April reasonably price. You need to keep the drivers updated and they run great.

I bought this for basic printing. If you need black and white document printing it any other, then this is it. It works great with wifi. My laptop and phone work no problem. And it's quick. Really fast. For basic print only needs, I highly recommend this one.

I bought this because I got tired of buying ink every month. I print a lot and I haven’t had to change the toner yet! Good price. It’s also extremely easy to connect this via Bluetooth/WiFi.

I maintain an elderly widow's computer in Springfield, MO. For several years, she had an Epson inkjet printer that used puncture-style ink cartridges. She seldom printed anything, and the day finally came where the black ink dried up inside the chamber of the permanent print head. She practically never printed in color, if she used the printer at all. After she learned the danger of neglected printers with non-integrated cartridges, I talked her into getting a simple laser printer. The least expensive unit available was a familiar Brother B&W laser printer. I bought it, hooked it up, and voila! Now, she doesn't have to buy four new ink cartridges every time she wants to use the printer, after probably printing less than 20 pages (and all in B&W). I've been using Brother laser printers for at least a decade. I've had mine at home for over five years, if not close to 10. I believe I've replaced the toner cartridge once. Still works. P.S.: the printer may be a bit confusing for average users. It often has to be awakened from "deep sleep" before you can print. Also, if you use WiFi, you may have to reconnect the printer to the network after a blackout. If you print from multiple devices, and are a non-technical user, you might want to get a model that supports Ethernet, which this one doesn't. You could designate a computer as a print server and connect the printer via USB, but it'd be easier to just get a different model. ;)

I needed a second printer for my home, and chose to buy the Brother HL-L2405W, based on previous experience with owning a Brother printer HL-L2440DW for over 5 years, which is still working fine! The printer is affordable and versatile. I can send print command from my iPhone and notebook. It has a small footprint hence suitable for small spaces. Brother also provides great backup and services including regular updates, This printer is highly recommended, and you can order from Best Buy who will deliver to your home free of charge.

For a single function printer this printer works very well. Easy to setup and use.

I purchased this for my small business as a second printer since we do alot of printing, I own the bigger model HL L6300DSW with legal and letter size so I thought this one would be perfect. Its smaller and great size for my second printer. I really like it the printing is fast, clean and clear.

This is a fantastic value for a printer. If you are in business, stop wasting money on inkjets for colors you don't need and cartridges that dry out or go empty too fast. This printer does one thing well: it prints beautifully and quickly in black. If you print in mostly black, get this and save yourself tons of money. I have an earlier model that was *given* to me 15 years ago because it needed a new drum. I reset the drum counter, used it until it was just too rough to use, then replaced it, and have put 3-4 toners in it in that amount of time (I don't print a lot). The beautiful thing is that this thing can sit on a shelf for a year until I need it, and when I plug it in, it turns on, I print, and it works. Try that with an inkjet and you'll be spending $80 on cartridges every time. No thanks.

Semi easy to setup! (I’m 69). Working excellent smooth and quiet. Invoices look great , couldn’t ask for a better printer . For our purposes.

I was looking for a small, basic, reliable black and white printer for occasional documents, mailing labels and such. This has been perfect.

I did mind my previous printer Wasting all my time Even if I was standing oh so near to it I would kinda lose my mind, trying to get it to work. But this Brother printer works great, easy setup easy to use. It is just what I needed.
