I 1st bought my printer online. When I received it I soon discovered that the black ink was not working. I went and purchased another cartridge thinking there was a problem with the ink cartridge. Well I was wrong. I followed all recommendations online and the Manual. I called Brother Support and after they couldn't tell me how to fix it we did a "Swap". They sent me another printer. I was kind of hesitant when I received my replacement. Before I put the ink in I noticed there was already ink on the intake part. So obviously someone else had the printer. After trying to print a test page i had the SAME EXACT PROBLEM. Unable to print anything at all in black ink. I called brother again and they said we could do another "Swap" I told them I don't think so. It took nearly a week and a half to receive my replacement and I'm just going to take it back to get something that works.

I have probably paid for this printer twice because it sucks ink at rediculously fast levels. It won't print AT ALL if even 1 color cartridge is out and I try to print or copy in black and white. Basically half the time I do not have a working printer because it is always out of ink. I usually print just black and still the color ink runs out. HORRIBLE MACHINE!!!!!
