I needed a printer that only prints black. I'm not a wiz with computers so I was worried that I wouldn't know how to set it up. The instructions for set up are very easy to understand and it only took me a matter of minutes before I was up and running! This is my second Brother printer and I know it won't be my last!

This printer has the perfect speed I was looking for. I work remotely from a home office and I needed a printer/scanner that was quick. This fits the bill. I'm not using it as a fax so I can't comment on that. I was looking forward to the bonus of an easy interface with my phone, but I'm experiencing problems with the app and haven't made the time to resolve the issues. Overall this is working just as I had hoped.

This is my second Brother laser printer in the past 15 years. This printer was easy to set up in just a few minutes and has performed well from the very start. I would not hesitate to recommend this printer to anyone looking for a good quality laser printer at a very reasonable price.

Had this printer for a month, used by my high school aged son (who thinks it rocks). Copies are crisp and high quality, speed is excellent, set up was easy. Great price through BestBuy. I love their option of ordering on line, picking it up at the local store. Very smooth every time I've ordered that way.

This is my second Brother laser printer and chose Brother due to past experience and low price of replacement toners. My initial reaction after setting up was that this printer was too loud and had to move it further away from me, but then after reading manual, found that the printer had a quiet setting. I can attest that the setting does what it says and the printer is quiet and works great. It does the job and the price is very reasonable.

The MFC-L2740DW was easy to set up as a wireless network printer (I also have it connected to my desktop via an Ethernet cable). The text is crisp, and it's scanning function is quite good. Overall I'm very satisfied with the printer. I expect it to be more economical that an inkjet printer.

This printer replace an old Brother printer and is really good, wi fi works perfect, easy to connect, setup and print, good scanning, copying and faxing options. The last one last more than six years I hope this will do the same.

Very pleased with the cost and the quality. Although I did have to consult the manual in regards to scanning that didn’t directly address use with a Mac - the instructions worked the same. Quiet and fast quality prints with very reasonable cost.

We got tired of ink hogging color printers from a well known brand. Our printing needs required just basic monochrome so decided on this Brother laser printer. We read a few reviews and came up with this model. It was easy to setup 30 min and printed the first time from both mac and phone. I would highly recommend this product. Brother did a great job in designing it with easy to follow instructions. This is great for anyone that just needs the basic monochrome printing of documents, not to mention it is all in one which includes color scanning, copying, and faxing.

I was skeptical about only having a black and white laser printer since i've always had a color laser. But the printer is so fast and the wireless component is perfect from any devise, i don't really miss the color. The toner is very reasonably priced as well.

I was in the market for a multi-function printer after my 6 year old HP inkjet died. Since I do most printing in B&W, I was looking into laser multi-function printers to get away from the constant costs of replacing inkjet cartridges that dry out after several months. I looked at printers from HP, Canon and Brother. Many years ago I had a Brother laser printer that literally lasted 10 years. The thing was a tank...it never broke, and outside of buying new toner cartridges and occasional cleaning, it kept on going. I only stopped using it because Brother no longer updated the drivers for the latest desktops. But 10 years for a printer is a good run. I chose the Brother because I had great success with past products and I preferred its design. The HP and Canon laser printers have the document feeders suspended above the actual printer. The Brother integrates the feeder more completely into the unit. The whole unit is relatively compact. I cannot be happier with my selection. Setup was very easy. I was quickly able to set it up on my MacBook Pro and configure it to be wireless. The Brother drivers are easy to install. What I love is the speed of printout. A multi-page printout literally only takes seconds due to the 30 ppm printing speed. All-in-all I'm very pleased and would recommend this printer to anyone.

Very happy with how compact, light and easy to use this printer is. Moving it around for meetings at different venues is quite convenient and I especially like that there is no awkward extended paper feeder or top tray. Prints stay compact and inline with the outer face without spilling over.

My Canon laser jet went out and was looking for a replacement. This all in works like a charm - prints, scans, copies and faxes, also wifi enabled and can print front and back pages pretty well. Replacement cartridges are also cheap on this unit and they last a while. Definitely a good buy

This Brother printer is a great option for home use. The instructions were easy to follow and the wireless feature allows it to be placed anywhere in the house.

Wireless setup worked flawlessly. Printer works well and fast. No problems at all, very happy so far with my first brother LASER printer. HP user before this, wanted a change. The only thing I would change is to have a color laser printer and to have the choice to have the print be darker.

It has significant features for a small, inexpensive printer. Installation and networking were a snap but the manual(s) that come with it are not much help. I went to the internet for answers. Integration of the fax was the most difficult especially since I use VOIP phone lines

Not so good with shading, (shows the rows sometimes) but print looks great. Airprint is easy to set up and really convenient with my macbook and iphone. Scans to my macbook over wifi and copies and prints at high speed. I dig this printer. It's as simple as I need it to be.

We already had a nice color hp inkjet printer, but it is rather slow on b&w documents and it was far away, making it a pain to scan multiple docs. I wanted a desktop scanner/printer that wouldn't break the bank, but would be easy to scan and fast to print. Since we already had the color, thought it would be nice to have a laser and this brother B&W printer was perfect. I've had it for a month and it is easy to use as wireless scanner or printer and is very fast. Fast startup and fast print compared to our HP color inkjet all in one. I've had several B&W brother printers in the past and they have all been great - this one is just like my others.
