Got this printer because it had multiple functions and a good price. I like it because it's easy to use (I've copied, scanned, and printed. I don't use a fax and haven't printed any photos). I like that it has a paper tray (my previous cheapie didn't), so will print for awhile before it needs to be refilled. It also has a tray to catch copies as they come out (my previous printer just threw them on the floor). So far the print quality has been fine, the scanner has been providing good copy quality. It prints a little slow, but just fine for a home/personal printer. The wireless connection has been stable - has worked every time. Seems to be a great value.

This is the best printer I have ever owned. The set up was very easy. I especially like the digital part of it where I touch the screen to scan, fax, copy, or print, and most of all it prints wirelessly, but the wireless printer is not compatible with my Android phone, but its compatible with the iPhone. Its has these four functions and that makes it even greater! I operates like a big printer where the paper storage is concerned. I researched the size to make sure it fits within my desk space and it fits perfectly! One thing I am not too thrilled about is that the black ink last for a shorter time than i expected. However, the greatness of the printer surpasses that.

It goes to sleep when not in use. It wakes up when you print a document. USB & wireless. Scans and copies multi-page documents. Good quality printed documents.

It took all day to install it. There were roughly 29 steps. I did a few, took a break and went bact to it through out the day. I was very pround of myself when it printed right off the bat. An then it refused to print again. If you are under the age of thirty, it is probably a piece of cake to install. If you are a senior citizen, it's probably beyond your technicial capabalities to install it yourself. However, the customer support is great. They had me up and running in a few minutes. Must have hit a wrong key some where along the way. Alls well that ends well. Brothers customer support has always been the best.

EVERTHING WORKS GREAT/WITH EASY WIRELESS CONNECTION

I struggled setting this printer up. It took 2 days of playing around just to get it to talk to my router (I had to search the internet to find the url for the settings for my router). Then, because Apple's automatic download for this printer was "no longer available", and I couldn't find a workable driver online, I purchased a USB Superdrive to use the CD-ROM that came with the printer. Then I discovered that the software was only compatible with older versions of Mac operating systems. I found an email address for Brother American and sent an email explaining what happened, and that I was dismayed that they would sell a printer with outdated software. They did respond right away, and gave a link for updated software that I downloaded and it works just fine. Their customer service gets an "A".

This printer is great for home use. Got set up in about 5 minutes. Works wireless on my laptop and tablet. Unit is a bit heavy but makes up for weight in smaller size. Wish power cable was longer, just made it to my outlet.

Set-up was time intensive and a bit confusing, but I've had no difficulty since!

I beginning to really appreciate the build quality of the Brother printers. The print / color quality is really nice & crisp, replacement ink is inexpensive compared to other brands of printers I've owned. Wireless setup is easier using the windows method then let the Mac OSX find the printer & complete the setup. Lesson learned from the Brother HL-2280DW Laser printer. No issues as of yet, extremely pleased with the purchase.
