I don't sew much. This is my 3rd machine. Previous was 15yo basic Singer. Took 5 days to get to store for pickup. Nice! Gave me time to read the online manual, which helped tons when I got it! Brown box. Looked mint when unpacked. All little parts (feet, etc) were there. Easy bobbin wind, Ultra easy insertion. Easy top thread. Ultra easy needle thread. Easy start sewing with no need to first get the bottom thread up. Sews straight with no pull to L or R. Easy 8 layers of flannel cloth. Easy zig-zag with easy top tension adjust to balance threads. Did a few different decorative patterns and all went very well, though I could see that a $400 machine would probably do it better. Same with stitching alpha characters - had to adjust width a bit, but result was adequate, but not $400 in precision, but certainly fine for anything I would ever do. Reinforcing works fine. Then tried bar tacking with the buttonhole foot, with excellent results. Sadly it refuses to feed me breakfast in bed, but considering the price, I give it a solid 5 stars.
