This Brother printer does it all. It can fax, print, copy, and scan. It connects to my Wifi network so my other devices can print to it, too. It is similar to the Brother printer that I'm replacing. I like Brother so much that I'm buying another one. In my opinion, their printers have ruled the marketplace for a while now as their features are robust and their prices aren't outrageous.

I had an old Canon MX410 that while still functional, was starting to get very loud so I decided it was time for a replacement. I wanted a color printer that had an ADF and wasn't in the $300-$400 range. I'm not interested in printing photos, but find the need to scan multiple pages at once and occasionally have to print letters/reports/etc. After doing some research I decided to try this Brother. This unit fits the bill quite nicely. It's fairly compact, simple to set-up, and is loaded with more features than I need. The print quality is quite good, and it is considerably quicker and quieter than my old Canon. What keeps this printer from getting a full 5 stars is its lackluster appearance and somewhat cheap feel. The pullout tray is a bit flimsy and Brother certainly didn't do much to make the printer aesthetically appealing. The printer works though, so I can't justify docking it more than a single style point.

In the last eight years I have owned three HP printers, the latest HP Envy 5660 and absolutely dislike those 60,61,62, 63 tri color cartridges. They are much to costly and to hard to fill with new ink. I do believe HP makes excellent printers though. Epson makes very good printers also but I have owned the Brother MFC-J680DW several months and do like this printer the best. Ink is cheaper and lots of choices of refilled cartridges on Amazon and E-bay at very low prices. I do not know why their are some poor reviews for Brother printers because I think they are excellent printers and I will stay with Brother. Also they come with fax setup and look nice.

This is my third Brother printer and each one gave excellent performance. The setup was easy and fast and it is easy to use in each of the modes. The print quality is excellent.

I've been using this printer for a few weeks and so far I'm very satisfied with it. Mind you I've only used it as an actual printer. I haven't tried out the Wi-Fi or fax capabilities. Surprisingly easy to set up. Good instructions. Make sure you have the right USB cable on hand because it's not included with the printer. I already had one from my last printer but I don't know the actual specs on it. Check with a Best Buy rep on the correct USB cable to buy.

If your looking for a reliable, feature packed, cost effective printer look no more. This is the second brothers printer I've owned (had to buy another cause I moved out and left the original that's still running with my grandparents) and these things are awesome. I've owned others in the past and they only lasted a year or two; brother printers will last YEARS! Ink is decently priced compared to others and last long as well. I'd highly recommend to anyways.

I replaced my Brother B&W laser printer with this MFP. It works fine and I've not had any issues. I find it uses a lot of ink, and I've been primarily B&W printing so that is a bit of a disappointment but, it works and the extra features are an improvement over my old laser version.

After about a month I'm still getting use to the features. Excellent job making copies. I like being able to push a button to choose color or black and white, rather than having to scroll through a menu. Regular printing has been excellent, also. Changing the density to suit the original works well. I haven't yet taken the time to print photos. Scanning is not as easy as it was on my Epson, but maybe I just need to more thoroughly read the directions! I've just emptied my starter black ink cartridge, so I'm hoping ink use will be more efficient than it was on previous printers.

Had this about a month. Easy to set up. Printing is extremely slow, at least compared to my previous (HP) printer. Fortunately, I don't need great speed, but it is very frustrating. It's also a bit noisy, so we don't print if someone in the adjacent room is sleeping.

My second brother printer. Can't beat it for the price. Easy to set up and rarely have an issue )I believe those have been due to paper) I'm sure not for heavy duty tasks but for the normal, everyday it's perfect!

I did a lot of research on printers before purchasing. Great print quality for a great price. The only thing I would recommend is buying replacing ink when purchasing. The trial ink included does not last very long - frustrating!
