I loved playing this with the kids. When we couldn't go bowling for whatever the reason, we stood home bowling on the Xbox 360.

Throw the game in the trash

The ball sticks to your hand like glue. Eventually you can learn to drop the ball by dropping your arm down in one motion. Doing any extra motion, like trying to aim, will leave you frustrated and annoyed. The player, image of yourself, also stands right in front of the pins that you are trying to throw the ball at. You can't see the pins!!! It was the first game I had played with my new Kinect system and my hopes for Kinect kept dropping with every non throw. Luckily I had also purchased Kinect Sports 2 and realized it was not the Kinect system, or me, but that the bowling program is junk.

Good Bowling Game!

This is a really good bowling game if that is what you are looking for.
I had read several reviews on other sites before buying this game, and they mostly bashed this game, don't believe all the negative reviews, this game is really enjoyable!
The controls take a little getting used to, but anyone with half a brain and a little patience can figure them out pretty quickly. I agree a patch may make this game even better, the controls can get a little touchy, but nothing that should keep one from enjoying this game.
Also some really cool features on here; multiplayer league (multiple human players allowed on your team!), and online play! To name a few.
Enjoy and Good Luck! See you on the Lanes!

Look, I'm like many others ... 10 million Kinects sold world wide...
I can't be the only adult playing Kinect games.....
I'm 39 years old and have been playing console games ever since Atari hit the scene.
So yeah I like gaming and No.. I'm not too old to enjoy it.
You teens laughing now.. wait and see .... Time flies by FAST.
So.. back to this Bowling Game... it flat out STINKS. Im only writing this review to help those interested in a more serious experience on Kinect to STAY AWAY from this game.
The only thing that was bowling in this game was me throwing the game down my hall and into the trash.
Yes it was a horrible experience to say the least... and paying 50 bucks for it.. just left me wanting to vent a little.
Nothing about this game works.. The Kinect Sensor was so jerky even on the Menu / Options screen it seriously takes about 10 min of your time just to get things set up to play the game.
Once the game loads and your ready to play... Well you can't
. I found that every time I went to bowl the ball ... the ball would seem to be stuck to the hand of your character... Moving your arm up or out seemed only to change the Ball weight..
Yeah.. thats right CRAVE thought it would be nice for you to pick between a 10 lb. 20lb and 50 lb. ball by simply lifting your bowling arm to the side. As if a virtual ball has any weight to it ???
The ball seemed to be SUPER GLUED to hand..
Ok ... so with your non bowling arm if your point at the screen you can bring up a Targeting Meter to place a line on the floor to help you aim the ball which you can never throw.
Once this meter is up on the screen.. even the slightest of movement will place that meter off into the Gutter Zone: Trying to finess this line to the area you want to throw...seems to take forever..... as your friends , family are sighing ...unpatiently... waiting for their turn.
Which brings up the next prob.. the meter is to dissapear once you set your line / target ... how is this done?: Well CRAVE decided to have you simply lower your arm that your pointing at the screen with..
Well.. by doing this.. you negated everything you just wasted your time setting... because your arm as it comes down pulls the Target Line with you.
If you manage to get the ball off and rolling down the lane.. it happens random .. Trust Me. You feel as if your in one of those dreams where the HALL WAY just seems to get longer and longer no matter how fast you run.. The lanes feel way over streched in length.
Kinect Sports made you feel Alive even if you gutter balled because of the Crowd and Sound Effects including the Funky music spurts after each bowl / strike / or spare. It made you feel good.
Brunswick Bowling ... if your heard crickets churpping you would be lucky. Well along with some of the worse " ELEVATOR MUSIC "
Look this game stinks and i'm not saying that because of my experience. This game is nothing but a port of a already broken game made on the Wii system.
It didn't work there and it doesnt work here on Xbox.
If Microsoft wants the kinect to survive they really need to get a handle on what comes out on the system and not just try to fill up the Kinect catalog. This game should be removed from retail.
3rd party developers looking to CASH in on the Kinect band wagon need to put out a Xbox Live Demo before there games are allowed for sale at retail.
This game was broke before they sealed it up and shipped it.
No downloadable patch will fix these issues.. because it would mean the WHOLE game would have to be re-tooled.
Since it was a PORT from the Wii system .... don't hold your breath
Stay away from this game.
