I decided i wanted this game when it first came out but waited because i had so many other games i was playing. Well i picked it up to play between Ratchet and Assassins Creed 2 and i don't regret it. The music is loud and crazy and you can change tracks on the fly. Despite its lack of a jump button its pure fun( a jump button would have made this game over the top in terms of game play). The Story was just great it had some great laughs. And the injection of Ozzie Osbourne in his role in the game was hilarious. Don't take this game to serious its great as it is. i smell a sleeper hit in this one. If you love heavy metal or just want a fun hack n' slash or even a not so serious RPG this is a definite buy.

This is a great game. Jack Black and the other rockers and celebrities in this game are a great addition. The combat gets a little bit monotonous at times. the storyline is great although it could have been a little bit longer. The open world is great but the darker areas could use a little brightening as sometimes you can't see what you are doing. Definitely a great game and I am looking forward to a potential sequel.

Jack Black is Eddie Riggs, an exceptional roadie for the not-so-exceptional Heavy Metal band, Kabbage Boy. On one fateful day, Eddie is mysteriously transported to a fantasy-type world that exists with elements from the Heavy Metal culture and lifestyle. Eddie is tasked with roaming the vast lands in search of worthy members to join together as an army of "Rockers" in the war against Lord Divicolous, General Lionwhyte and the hordes of demons that pose threat to the world. Add the voice talents of many of Heavy Metal's most recognized musicians mixed with a soundtrack with even more recognizable Metal bands and you get a unique game that plays like an 'ode' to Metal fans and gamers alike. The humor of Jack Black provides an atmosphere to Brutal Legend that keeps you entertained for hours on end. There are many different features that apply to many encounters throughout your journey in the game. If you like fast music, fast cars, fast action and even faster women then, Brutal Legend from EA will not disappoint!! Enjoy!

This game starts off as a solo action-adventure game but offers few hints as to what the true nature of this game is, a real-time strategy game that has action-adventure qualities. It has a great story and the gameplay is brütal. The soundtrack is awesome and filled great Metal songs.

This game has great gameplay, good story, funny and awesome voice actors. Some of the gameplay gets a little redundant, but the game does change as you go along.

This game has an amazing story with so many hidden gems. So many cool easter eggs to find if you are a true rocker. Also, when you find all of the back story they did a real cool job of creating this world. Not the most challenging gameplay, but tons of fun. If Kids are going to play there is even a way to turn off the vulgar language. Don't miss out especially since it's at a reduced price.

If you are a Jack Black/Tenacious D/Heavy Metal fan, there is plenty here for you! Lots of inside jokes for metal fans (villan named Lionwhyte=white Lion is a band that metalheads hold up as poser metal glam, etc) the way you unlock more of the soundtrack as you play is great. Story line is entertaining.

This is one of the best games I have played in a long time. It is one part RPG, One Part Guitar Hero and all parts Kick Butt. I love the concept and the overall playability. I would recomend this game if you even remotely like heavy metal. The soundtrack is totally awsome.

I really enjoyed the game at first! I love the metal genre. It is a great game for people who like metal music. Very beautiful! It is also not very chalenging, i like that. You can change the dificulty during gameplay. That is nice as well. But after a while it gets repetitive and if you are not looking forward the music, visuals and the dialogue you get bored. That was not the case with me, though. I continued playing just for the Metal of it, just not as enternained anymore. I wish i waited for it to go down in price,though! Hell, it don't matter! Metaaaaaal!

Got it cause of the great sale BB had on it. Seems very funny and love the hardcore metal edge to it. Definitely a fun play once through.

This is a must rent for any gamer. The original story and the humor of jack black and many other rockers is awesome. The only flaw is lacking in game play. It takes an awesome story and bores you with the lack of moves and repetitive actions over and over. It quite sad because I wanna love this game more but just can't.

This is by far not the best game but was fun to play. It was a little on the easy side and did not take much time to beat.

Rocks better than any other game. should have been longer but awesome.
