Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by the high-quality keyboard, noting its superior feel compared to the iPad's built-in option and ease of use. Many appreciate the long battery life and simple setup process. However, some find the added weight to be a significant drawback, and a few have expressed concerns about the hinge strength. The overall experience is largely positive, but potential buyers should consider the increased weight and hinge durability.

Sleek and perfect match for iPad Pro

This keyboard has a great solid feel and matches the metal of the iPad pro perfectly. The battery life is great too, but it's not always easy to know if it's actually charging or on. It seems like sometimes it never turns off, and others it does, which causes a lag in typing.

I love using Brydge Keyboards because the keys have very good feel (I type almost 150 words per minute), the battery lasts forever, and I like how they match the iPad perfectly. I have one for my iPad Pro 9.7 and 12.9. My only complaint on my 12.9 version is that the iPad can sometimes drop back if the angle is greater than 120 degrees. I took one back thinking it was defective, but the exchanged one did the same thing. The hinges aren't strong enough for the iPad Pro 12.9. So for now, I make sure I don't exceed a 90-100 angle when it is on my lap. I hope they have a fix for this soon.

Since I want my 12" iPad Pro to work as a laptop substitute as much as possible, I bought & tried the Brydge out. Visually it nicely matched the space gray tablet and was easy to attach and sync. The keys felt close to those on a laptop. I didn't keep it, however, because it made the already heavy (compared to my regular iPad) iPad Pro too bulky/heavy for my purposes. YMMV

    Excellent keyboard for ipad

After comparing various keyboards, I had to decide between two that got good scores (based on numerous reviews) and matched my expectations. I viewed both models, Logitech and Brydge, in the store and found both to be equally suitable for my purpose, i.e., protecting my ipad when in transit, while stabilizing and supporting it while in operational mode. I decided in favor of the Bridge keyboard because I need to remove the ipad occasionally which can be done without problem with the Bridge keyboard. The sturdy yet flexible hinges provide good support, and the Bridge keyboard corresponds superbly with my Apple iPad Pro 12.9 inches in terms of color and size, in addition to providing excellent protection. I found the greatest disadvantage with the Logitech keyboard to be that it was extremely difficult to pull the iPad out of the shell (risking the iPad to fall down and/or scratch (which I feared might adversely impact the durability of the device in the long run). Since the aesthetics of a device plays an important role for me (in addition to its functionality), I am very pleased with the color matching qualities of the Brydge keyboard with ipad colors. I experienced a minor problem with charging the device in the beginning, yet when consulting with specialists at Best Buy (on the floor, and especially at Geek Squad), they efficiently resolved the situation (in exchanging the old with a new one) to my absolute satisfaction! I would definitely advise to buy a warranty when purchasing any device. I am very satisfied with my purchase.

I need it to have a keyboard to better utilize the features of my iPad Pro. This keyboard offers ease of use and because it’s aluminum added protection .

Previous to this I had the Zagg Slimbook keyboard & case. I've left reviews over there about my poor experience, I'll just say in the one year warranty period I got three free replacements. This is a much higher quality item. While it doesn't really serve as a case, it does protect the screen side when folded up, and it does hold the iPad in the mounts very tightly. You have to want to remove it to get it out. I do wish the hinge was a little stiffer, that's why I only gave it 4 stars. But, unlike the Zagg which started out stiffer but quickly weakened as the plastic would crack, the stiffness on this stays the same over time. I guess that's the benefit of aluminum construction instead of plastic. Great product overall, I'm happy with it.

I love this keyboard and I am typing this review with it now. It's exceptional quality and looks perfect with my iPad Pro. You'd swear it was a MacBook. Typing on it feels great. It has brightness, volume, and media controls which works with safari, YouTube and Netflix too, not just iTunes. You can scroll webpages on safari using the up and down arrows. It's just great, worth the price. My only issues is that my "N" key sticks more than half the time it is pressed. I need to wiggle it to make it pop back up again. I will exchange it for a new one as soon as I can make it back to BB.

I got this after reading a lot of reviews & so went ahead for it. Pros: 1. Well built 2. Excellent Battery Life 3. Keys are very comfortable Cons: 1. Getting the ipad in & out was not very easy & since i also use the ipad without the keyboard too often this is a problem for me 2. It adds a lot of weight to the ipad

This keyboard is so much better than the standard keyboard from Apple for the iPad Pro. It works well, good key travel, with lots of built in shortcuts. Pairs easily with Bluetooth Bought two of these - one for the mother in law - she also likes it a lot. The only drawback is that the combination of keyboard and iPad (which then looks like an amazing slimline laptop or even MacBook) is rather heavy, somewhat defeating the purpose of a tablet vs. a laptop. (That said - the SurfaceBook has the same issue.)

Product is a little heavy and I'm not overly fond of the fact that you have to remove the iPad each time you want to change how the product is positioned Aside from those two things...I still give it a 4/5

I LOVE MY BRYDGE FOR MY IPAD PRO. YES, IT IS A BIT HEAVY, BUT YOU CANT BEAT THE BENEFITS OF THIS KEYBOARD. THE BATTERY LASTS FOREVER, THE ADJUSTABLE ANGLES ARE PERFECT FOR ME AS AN ARTIST. I APPRECIATE BEING ABLE TO EASILY REMOVE MY IPAD IF NEED BE. THE ONLY THING I WISH IS THIS WAS AVAILABLE IN MORE COLORS.

Good keyboard. Drawbacks are battery life is shorter than similar keyboards, you can't just flip over and use as a tablet, and it has no back cover to protect the ipad. I would recommend it be put in a soft case when carrying.

Simply perfect. Beautifully designed and built. Real aluminum like your iPad. I had 2 Logitech Slim keyboards, that both needed returned after a couple of weeks. The plastic case that held the tablet was not very durable, and the plastic hinge is not strong enough. This keyboard ditches the plastic shell for your iPad and uses rubber lined metal grips that instead hold on to your bare iPad. The grips won't scratch your iPad. As a result, your iPad stays nice and slim with the Brydge keyboard. It is easy to insert or remove your iPad from the grips and use without the keyboard. The backlight is adjustable, and a single color - cool white. Works great. This is the keyboard Apple should've made. The Logitech looks like cheap bulky plastic by comparison. Key action is way better than the Apple Smart Keyboard. Love this. Buy with confidence.

Sales associate at Best Buy in Waterfiord Lakes, FL introduced me to the Brydge keyboard when I was scoping out the iPad. I was hooked immediately by the quality of construction especially compared to the Apple keyboard which is flimsy by comparison. Functionality is great. Only complaint is the charging cable supplied does not fit the lightning input on the iPad so you had to plug it into AC to charge, which is kind of a nuisance. This dropped the 5 star rating to 4. But still a great product overall.

The keyboard works very well with the iPad Pro and makes it much like a regular MAC laptop. The keys are very responsive and the battery lasts a long time. It does add some weight to the iPad but not much more than if it was a laptop.

My favorite keyboard for the iPad Pro

I have owned the Apple keyboard and the zag slim book keyboard and this is my favorite so far. It's so much lighter compared to zagg and the typing experience is better than the others esp the Apple keyboard. It has everything you need. I wish it had a function key for deleting from the front of a word but many programs currently for iPad Pro esp Microsoft word don't have that capability anyway. It's hard aluminum construction keeps the hinge from breaking or cracking and the 180 degree hinge is nice esp for drawing or presentations.

I was very impressed with this keyboard before even purchasing it. After i bought it i was not disappointed. It matches the same design that apple is going for, which is simple, and it does it in a way that it doesn't give up any usability or looks. Perfect match for the iPad. Definitely recommend to anybody.

Keyboard makes my 12.9 iPad look even better. Spacegray matches my iPad close to 95% I read about stability issues with the iPad staying open pass 90* Looks like Brydge has addressed that issue. Only problem if any, they need to cut a notch on the keyboard for easy opening. Highly recommend it. Will be buying a second one for my wife.
