Bruce Campbell is a great version of Elvis Presley! The mummies look great with the makeup/effects they used! Don Coscarelli did a great job directing it too! It you’re looking for a dumb movie with Bruce Campbell, you’ll enjoy this one!

But what it lacks in frenetic energy and "splatstick" humor, it makes up for in heart, earnest performances, and a touching story. Don't give up on it. It becomes a classic upon a second watch.

Kennedy, living in an Texas retirement home. There are mysterious deaths happening and the two men team up to fight a 3,000 year old mummy. This unique movie stars Bruce Campbell (The Evil Dead movies) as Elvis and acting legend Ossie Davis as JFK. The premise is Elvis Presley back in the 70's, feeling burned out, switched places with an impersonator until he was ready to go back to the spotlight, but unfortunately the impersonator had a appetite for drugs and food and died. Elvis while performing as an impersonator fell off the stage broke his hip and ended up in a rest home. Ossie Davis' character claims to be the late President, and eventually Elvis accepts the man and starts calling him Jack. When all the elderly start dying, Elvis and Jack team up to destroy Bubba Ho-Tep. Not so much a horror movie but more of a quirky off beat comedy/buddy movie.
