Bringing me back...even though the show kind of lost it’s steam by this season. Hawk!

Season 2 of Buck Gerard: 500 Years After A Nap isn't a pothole, it's more like driving off a canyon edge. Right away with the opening episode, you know something's wrong. That old Brit guy who's played a butler in 1000 movies has replaced Tim O'Connor, and he's supposed to be some sort of "comic relief." Mel Blanc is no longer the voice of Twiki (fans complained so much that they eventually brought him back). Twiki's new "voice" is really, really lame, too. And there's also Crichton, the candidate for worst robot ever. The thing's personality sags and I've seen better designs made with the foil from a gum wrapper. The first two-parter that introduces Hawk isn't bad, but only alcohol will make the remainder watchable. It makes Galactica 1980 look rad!

The re-release of Season Two of Buck Rogers in the 25th Century is great for two reasons. One, unlike the previous release it is on single-sided discs. The other reason is the two part version of Awakening is available for the first time on dvd in this set. Bravo to Universal for including it!
