Buffy the Vampire Slayer was a hit television show from it's beginning in the 1990's up until it's end in 2003. The show has brilliant episodes and great comedic punchline, some a little outdated. While the show has had it's moments of darkness and deep emotional turmoil they show overall, vampire/demon killing aside, is a brilliant display of understand of the human condition by part of the director and writers as well as it's many talented cast members. The 7th season is the final of the series and while it is the end of Buffy's documented story is not by any means the end of her legacy. In their final hour Buffy, Xander, Willow, Giles, and Spike along with the rest of the main preforming characters face the ultimate of evil in a battle to destroy the hell mouth or face the apocalypse. Sunnydale high returns as well as the unusual occurrences surrounding it. And in the final stand against the most dark-rooted evil it's Spike who turns out the most important key to salvation.

Although Joss Whedon claimed to have years of storylines for Buffy worked out, this season falls flat. Still, it is not as bad as the final season of “Angel.” New and annoying characters are added, which is why it is no surprise or disappointment to the viewers when they die or get injured. The potential slayers are a bunch of idiotic little girls that shriek and huddle together during times of hardship. Thanks, Joss. The only potential ready to fight is the self-righteous Kennedy. But making a female character like women does not give her personality. Her relationship with Willow is forced. And Andrew was a good character – in small dosage. Nathan Fillion guest stars as Caleb, who is evil and hates women (a trait that is over done in the Whedon Universe). He also happens to be a priest with a funny hairdo and a funny accent that pokes out Xander's eye with his thumb. For crying out loud! They fought demons with horns, tentacles, and sharp nails! Where there no better ideas out there? Angel also returns for the final two episodes. However, his screen time is minimal. Faith returns as well! And nothing is resolved between the Spike/Buffy/Angel triangle. The extras include bloopers, featurettes, and a wrap party video. The bloopers are short, so is the wrap party video. This is still a great season. It just happens to be Buffy’s poorest. As much as I love Buffy, it probably wouldn’t have existed if Joss wasn’t related to Tom or John Whedon. Episodes end awkwardly and he breaks out of formula. But if you love Buffy, youll love this season. It just gets a little chaotic with all these new characters popping up.

Many were disappointed by the last season of Buffy, but not me. I believe if you take the time and watch the entire season, you will see many loose ends tied up, and many things we all wanted, quenched. Those who are pulled between the Spike/Buffy/Angel triangle, should be fairly satisfied with the plot twists. Some things are left to the imagination, but ultimately Sunnydale meets it's final demise. I highly recommend the seventh season!

The final season to Buffy the Vampire Slayer brings the story to a close. We see some new friends as well as some new villians. The First evil appears to distroy the Slayer line, and Giles returns to aid Buffy in the struggle. Spike and Buffy go through some tough times with their relationship, and Dawn grows up.

This is by far the most dramatic and action packed season of Buffy. On the last episode my sister was in tears! It has the best episodes out of all seven seasons. I loved it.
