After NINE FAILED ATTEMPTS to get rid of my old fridge, they lie about not hauling away built-ins, wow (as they have that item to review). Their reasons: 1. 2-man crew too small (legit, next time, right?), 2. 2-man crew too small (wait, you knew), 3. 2-man crew & railing needs to be removed (you knew and I can remove it in 5min, do you think a lift would help? "no, we don't need one"), 4. we're gonna need a lift (wait, you said no to that), 5. 2-man crew too small (where is this mysterious 4-man crew??), 6. no lift (what?!), 7. 2-man crew too small (really??), 8. me (monitoring truck location): are you sending 4 guys with a lift? them: no, that's the premium team (omg!), 9. guys went to the wrong address (seriously? the entire workforce has been to my house). After the 7th attempt, a manager promised compensation. The amount "would be discussed after the haul-away." At this time, EVERYONE knows I have a built-in. They've seen it and I've told several people on the phone. After the NINE FAILED ATTEMPTS, some guy calls me and lies about not hauling away built-ins. WOW. Compensation is measly. I ask my contractor if he could help and he sends over 3 guys (the biggest 5'7", 140lbs) and they take it away in 30 min.

There were enough guys to install and haul away our old refrigerator - they took very good care to not damage the floor or doorways.

Kitchen-Aid built-in refrigerator is an excellent choice. A but pricey, but if you have to have a built-in (we did), this is the best value. Works very well and well built.

The only reason I'm giving it a 1-star is because the 1st team that went didn't pick up my built-in fridge because they thought I didn't have an emergency shut-off valve behind the fridge, I did and had to call a plumber to disconnect the fridge. The 2nd Haul-Away team was professional and made things right.

The guys that came in were very friendly and professional. They did a great job getting the old refrigerator out and helped us when we had to call Best Buy with an issue on the new refrigerator coming in.

If you have a built-in refrigerator to haul away, beware of Best Buy's service. Despite clear instructions on the order, they have failed twice now to bring either the right dolly or the correct amount of technicians (at least a 3 or 4-man team is required). It's been more than 2 1/2 months since I placed my original order. The first fridge that they delivered was faulty. Redelivery 2 weeks later, there was no dolly for the haul away. Redelivery 2 1/2 weeks later (yes, 2 1/2 weeks), only 2 guys who said they couldn't do it. Best Buy - you are wasting your customers' time and increasing your own costs. You are about to lose this customer not just for this appliance, but future appliances. Dealing with Best Buy customer service has not helped, although the customer rep at the store is beside himself with frustration over the poor service. While I am now very good at emptying our old fridge, having had lots of practice, I am bored with this state of affairs. I've only stuck it out this long because of appliance shortages during the pandemic. If I don't get a new delivery early date, they'll lose this customer. Best Buy in Los Angeles - are you reading this? Pay attention and fix your delivery service.

The sales person said four men were needed to remove the old built-in refrigerator. Two were sent even though 4 were requested. Job was re-scheduled for 1 week later. During removal one worker cut the reverse osmosis water line instead of disconnecting it. Also, the hardwood floor near the main entry to my house was damaged. A photo of the damage was sent to the delivery company rep. I requested a reply to confirm receiving it and I'm still waiting. Stressful situation.

The crew that came to deliver my new freezer & haul away the huge broken chest freezer had a difficult task because of its size. They helped me operate the bilko door which I was unfamiliar with (I recently moved & had never used it), and even helped wipe up the drips in the floor. A very pleasant experience after the unpleasant, expensive occurrence of losing a full freezer of food.

This particular code MUST be used if you need a built-in/custom refrigerator to be hauled away, which was not a readily available option when ordering a new refrigerator. Because of that, we had reschedule the delivery THREE separate times before we finally got the correct code and team to haul our old refrigerator away.
