The Reset the TRANSFORMERS Series Needed

Bumblebee is produced by Steven Spielberg, but it doesn't feel like a 2018 Steven Spielberg-produced movie, it feels like a 1987 Steven Spielberg-produced movie. That is to say this Travis Knight picture is undoubtedly influenced by the young ensemble adventures of Spielberg's early days and is nothing short of a welcome change of pace for a franchise that, let's be honest, had long since passed its breaking point and was desperate for some change in direction.

It was good, nothing spectacular but it was entertaining and more of a rehash of the first transformers movie that was toned down. Acting could have been better and a little more continuity would have helped but I did like the music and the 80's references since I was a child of the 80's. My daughter loved it, so I'm happy. The digital movie only lets you add to VUDU and fandango now, which unfortunately did not show up in my movies anywhere or Amazon prime.

This entry in the Transformers series is more modest in scope than it’s Michael Bay directed predecessors and all the better for it. It’s much more Spielbergian, playing exactly like something Spielberg would have done in the 80s. The movie is set in the 80s which really drives this aspect home. The Transformers themselves look stunning in 4K with a level of detail and color brilliance that outdoes even the Blu-ray. Good movie and a very good 4K disc.

I am notmuch for ANY of the Transformer series of action movies but saw trailer for Bumblebee and decided to go to it. Then I forgot and it was gone -- so sad. However, in a recent trip to Best Buy lo and behold -- Bumblebee. It is a nice movie -- kinda sorta pulls on the heartstrings a bit. Tis worth a view (or three)!!

It's nice to see the people who directed and produced this to go back to the Generation 1 Transformers. Michael Bay the credible job but you actually got to see some of the Generation 1 Transformers in this movie of Bumblebee. Overall it's a weld decently done movie CGI Graphics are extremely done well but again it was nice to see some of the Generation 1 Transformers in this movie. Over all I would give this movie a3.5 to maybe 3.8stars over all.

Offers so many options for a great price! I love these DVD Blu-ray combos that also come with a digital copy. It gives me the opportunity to watch it on all my different types of TVs and mobile devices in one bundle package, that is so much cheaper than just even buying two separately ! The little comic book was a nice addition too

I really loved the original Transformers movie starring Shia LeBeouf. However the last two Transformers film not so much. I thought that would be it for me and the Transformer franchise until I saw Bumblebee and decided to give it a look and I was definitely not disappointed. You couldn’t help but like Bumblebee. This film has a lot of heart, humor, action and worth the price. Great job and I hope this is a sign of what next movies will be like.

I'm sure people complained about the story line but I didn't think it was bad. I actually enjoyed this movie. What I like the most about his movie is THE TRANSFORMERS ACTUALLY LOOKED LIKE THE TRANSFORMERS FROM THE ORIGINAL CARTOON! Not that nonsense Michael Bay released. Kind of wished this came in SteelBook...

The Transformers Movie We've Been Waiting For*

Bumblebee is a fun, heartfelt and still action-filled Transformers prequel that ushers in a new - and better - era of movies about the Autobots. And while Bumblebee gets the movie’s title, the story belongs just as much to Charlie, and Hailee Steinfeld is as sharp and funny and awkward as any other ’80s teen-movie protagonist.

I really liked this movie because it was truer to the original cartoons from the 80's. The Michael Bay films started fine, but they just they went over the top with the explosions and CGI. Even the way BB is portrayed in this movie is a bit "softer" like the way he was originally animated. Plus Hailee's acting was on point.

I was never a fan of most of the Transformers movies, mostly because the original transformations were overly done and complex. They were hard for my eyes to feel comfortable. This film has lessened that complexity and they actually look more realistic. This story also has much more heart, you really care about the characters. It also has a nicer touch of humor. The voices of the evil characters are a little over dramatic and hammy.

My son and I love the Transformers and were really excited for the Bumblebee movie. This movie is a retcon of the Transformers saga so it begins with Bumblebee landing on Earth after the Autobots and Decepticons war. The story is fast paced and fun and you have to love Bumblebee and his unique talents and attitude!

Timeline-wise in the Transformers' franchise, this film would actually come first! Set in the 80's it tells of the mission where BumbleBee was sent to earth on reconnaissance. A bit of a coming of age tale mixed with the usual sci-fi. Very character and story driven, it is still a wildly entertaining movie.

Once someone finally took the reins out of Michael Bay's hands, Transformers became fun again! Hailee Steinfeld and Bumblebee are a great pair and a movie that can make you feel as emotionally attached to a car as you become to Bumblebee deserves a lot of credit. Dylan O'Brien was the perfect choice to voice young Bumblebee, I only wish he was there to give him even more character throughout the entire film.

As a long time fan of the whole Transformers franchise in general, I can say that this is definitely worth watching. It makes up for the past 4-5 movies, as where they just seemed getting worse and worse as they progressed. So if you're sick of the "Bayverse" like how I was, you should definitely give this one a try.

I can honestly say that this is either the best or second best Transformers movie of the franchise. The video is without noise and the soundtrack was immersive. I'm using a JVC DLA-RS3000 native 4K projector on a 135" screen and didn't see any real noise. This is a great transfer. These comments are for the 4K disc.

This took me back to my childhood when the Transformers toys were originally released. Shockwave, Soundwave and other villains looked the way they did back in the 80's. Lastly, the story line was great. The movie was funny, but also took you through other emotions. You can't help but to root for Bumblebee.

I Wasn't in love with the Transformers franchise. it never really hooked me. but this one I really enjoyed, the storyline was easy enough to follow. and I liked the 80's time period they went with. now as for the picture quality and vibrancy of colors. this one is reference. everything was very punchy and tac sharp in detail. audio quality was spot on as well, with a good soundtrack and Atmos floating all around the room .

I really like Travis Knight's previous work with Laila Studios and was glad to see his talent transferred so well into an existing property. I really enjoyed the characters and there was a nice mix of action and story. I would recommend to any fan of Transformers and even those who have not seen any before.
