Love historic movies that tell our past and where we came from.

Very good cast. Excellent acting. My wife says it differs significantly from the book, but does cover the key points.

My cousin told me about this movie but I could never find it. Well I finally did and would recommend to all.

I've always been interested in Native American history and culture, coming from a far off descendent myself. I had seen bits and pieces on HBO over a few days, but was never able to see the entire thing. But what I had seen really interested me. My sister bought me the set for Christmas and I couldn't be happier with it. However, if you're looking for a "happy ending" movie, this definately isn't it. The real story of what happened, and the sadness of the plot truly is disturbing...

I went to buy season 2 of Deadwood, the local store was out of copies, DANG. Hmm, I see Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee and grudgingly buy it so I have something to watch. From the cinematography, to the acting, directing, editing, etc. -- this film breathtakingly shows the final days of the indian struggle with the US government. When I finished it, I had to watch several chapters over gain, then put in the "making of CD," it was that good.

This film was very good. Sad, but to the point. I have family that are American Idian by blood. It's a well crafted movie with a lot of history to go along with it, A must see!!!!!
