Better than expected. It is slow but the story and relationship, along with the secret pain, develop as it continues to unfold. The couple is trying to get away from it all but are forced to confront her unhappiness and his frustration.

This a a very good film that you sadly don't hear a lot about. Pitt & Jolie's performances are absolutely phenomenal. The story is great as well. The disc has solid video & audio, and quite a few deleted scenes as extras as well. Check it out.

This film is not for everyone, I can understand why some people didn't like it. I LOVED the setting and the scenery. It was beautiful. Also, the outfits that both Angie and Brad wore were so nice. I can tell a lot of thought was put into that. The story is hard to watch because it really is so real. There is so much loss of emotion and feeling. It does move a little slow at times, but it's really a feast for the eyes, even down to the props. I just can say enough about how well done this was.

This was a pleasant surprise. Two very good character studies.

I know a lot of people will be seeking out this film now that Brad and Angelina are splitsville, but it's worth a look without all the pre-conceived notions you may have in your mind. Brad and Angelina are terrific actors and have great chemistry (obviously), and they craft a story about a marriage in turmoil that will captivate your attention. The ending was satisfying and I forgot I was watching two mega-stars because I was wrapped up in the characters.
