Posted .Hi Santi,
Made For Google only works with first party Google Assistants. This would include the Google Home Hub, Google Home, Google Max, and Google Mini.

It works great!
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It works best with GE's own app. Tried it with Google Home app and definitely not recommending it. It was not as easy to detect upon scanning for connection and a bit slow in response. Also, the only way to update firmware is using GE's own app.

Love these lights!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got these a few week ago and I love them ever since. I connected them to my google home and they work flawlessly. Love the fact I can easily adjust the white balance. And is so nice just to tell google to turn them on and off, because the light switch is kinda far from my bed.

Simple installation and setup
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I think this may be one of my favorite smart bulbs thus far, the two pack is inexpensive. There is no need for an extra app when using them with Google Home. It was able to detect them and set them up for use in moments. The color options are nice, as I find some of the basic lights to be too yellow.

Good Value but tricky home integration
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have lots of Phillips Hue light bulbs and while I love them, they are pricey. I'm also heavily invested in the Google Home ecosystem. I was glad to put some new smart bulbs into my house in a place where color wasn't important (the bedroom). So I figured I would give these a try. First, I want to comment the GE bulbs as bulbs. They work great, they produced warm, cool and bright lighting, perfect for any situation (yes, even sleeping which they're obviously intended for). In terms of just screw in and use, they work great. I really like the warm hues both in the morning and night to give you some light just to see, but also give you the ability to fall asleep and wake up a little easier (rather than a harsh bright light). In terms of their "smarts." I found them to be a bit tricky. I have to reiterate, I'm heavily invested in Google Home, with multiple Home speakers, security cameras, lights, switches, vacuums, etc. I like the Google Home app because it finally gives you a good user interface to control a variety of products in one app (rather than opening Arlo app to look at cameras, and then Phillips Hue to turn lights on, etc.). These are ready to go out of the box, no bridge like the Phillips Hue. If you are just getting into smart lighting, the no bridge route is the way to go. You literally just have to screw these into the socket and then go to setup. Now this is where I ran into some issues. I screwed them in the bedroom and hopped on the Google Home app. I was able to find them the first time, but they wouldn't connect. After two attempts, they worked (I didn't do anything differently) and I was able to integrate them into the Google Home app. They worked fine... in terms of turning them on and off. Now, if all you want are bulbs that you can turn on and off with your phone or app, then I just accomplished the goal. But, I wanted to be able to use these bulbs on a schedule where they would put off a warm hue at night and in the morning automatically. You cannot do that from the Google Home app (admittedly, I couldn't figure out, I am not saying it's not possible). To do that, you have to download the GE app. To my chagrin, I downloaded the app. I am loathe to having extra apps on my phone. I realize for my smart home devices, you generally have to have it (Arlo for example) to set up the devices and then incorporate them into Google Home app. But I thought these were self sufficient bulbs and that you could use their sleep lighting features directly through Google Home. Anyways, I downloaded the GE app and I was unable to find bulbs. I eventually had to unlink them from Google Home and then re-set them up through the GE app. It was clunky, then you have to set the schedules for the sleep cycles through that app. At the end of the day, they work as advertised and if you like having night lighting at your bedside, rather than harsh lights with one brightness level, they are a great value when compared to other smart bulbs (looking at you Phillips Hue). But they were a bit convoluted to set up and it forced me to get another app. Again, small first world problems, and shouldn't be a dealbreaker but it was annoying to me. To me, these bulbs are best served for people who are first building/creating their smart home. If I wasn't so invested in Phillips hue and sunk money in it, I would have started with these GE bulbs. i just wish I could use (or figure out how to use) the sleep cycle schedules within the Google Home app which controls my entire house.

Great Bulb Choice
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A solid choice for lightbulbs! Love the ability to change the hues and turn them on and off with my phone. Also, love how you can animate them to turn on and off at certain times with your phone and connect them to your Googe Home or Alexa.

Great lights but don’t work well with dimmers
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Put them on switches that don’t dim. They kind of mess up once in a while. Still worth the money.

Posted .Hi Wuke! Please be advised: Unless the dimmer switch is a C by GE smart dimmer switch, operating your smart bulbs with a dimmer switch, is not recommended and could cause damage to your bulbs. If you have to use the bulbs with a dimmer switch, it's best to avoid dimming them if possible. Only use the on/off function. Make sure you only dim the bulbs through the app or using a voice assistant such as Alexa, or Google Assistant. Frustrating
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the color customization and dimming control via Google Home controls, and having my lights turn on and off on a schedule, but this brand is so frustrating. They randomly become unresponsive to my Google Home and stop turning on and off. For example, I will have my light switch turned on, and tell my Google Home Hub to “turn off the lights” and 1/4 or 2/4 will turn off, leaving the reaming 1 or 2/4 on. I then have to get out of bed and turn off the switch. I know, it sounds like a small thing to be upset at, but having to continually reset the bulb(s) and reconnect it is getting old. They have potential, but don’t seem to be quite there yet. I would pay more and try Philips Hue bulbs. I haven’t tried Philips yet, but I’ve seen they have better reviews. I wanted these to work because I didn’t want to have to buy a separate, pricey ‘bridge’ as Philips requires one with Google Home. When these bulbs work, they are great. But, they are unreliable.

Posted .Hi there! Thank you for your feedback. Since our bulbs are simply Bluetooth-enabled bulbs, they essentially have two modes: connected (in which they are listening for a command from whatever device that controls them), or in pairing mode (in which they are emitting a signal for the controller device to find them and connect to them.) They themselves do not have the ability to "become unresponsive." If your bulbs stop responding, this means the device that is responsible for establishing the connection to them (your Google Home device) has dropped it's connection to them. You can usually resolve this issue by simply rebooting your Google Home device (unplugging it and plugging it back in again.) This will force it to re-establish the connection to them. As for voice commands not working, this unfortunately would be an issue pertaining to Google Home as our bulbs are simply Bluetooth-enabled bulbs, not the actual controller device. We would recommend reaching out to Google Home Support at 1-(855) 971-9121 if you are having issues with voice commands. - C by GE Customer Support

Echo dot
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These lights do not work with the echo dot. That is why I purchased them.

Posted .Hi Voni, the bluetooth lights require a hub to connect to your echo dot. We sell one called a C by GE Smart plug. It plugs into the wall and links up with your wifi network and bridges your lights with you echo dot to allow Alexa to voice control your lights. If you need more info we can be reached at 1-844-302-2943 or [email protected]. -C by GE Support

Bad/no smart controls
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.C by GE requires a hub for any real functionality. Without a hub GE requires you to pair with Bluetooth everytime you want to change the status of the bulb and you can't do any voice control. I'm very surprised how bad they are. You can't link C by GE account with Google home or learn an Alexa skill. Does not cooperate at all. DO NOT BUY! TP-Link actually does what this falsely advertises. It works with Alexa and Google home without a hub. Voice control on and off and dim level with Google Home and Echo no problem.

Doesn't play perfectly w/ Google
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm using two bulbs and have had to re-pair both of them at least twice. On one occasion, it took three reset procedures for them to be found. After the first couple of attempts, I even tried using the C by GE app directly, and they still couldn't be identified. They work currently, but after quite a bit of frustration.
