Great color selection. They just stopped working with my google home mini. The light itself still worked just not the voice control or the brightness or dimming. I do like that the failsafe is that it operates as a normal lightbulb still

Thank you for taking the time to review our product. We are sorry to hear that your smart light stopped responding to the app. We would like to help. It sounds like your smart light is still functional, but has simply disconnected from your Google Home device. This tends to happen when Google pushes firmware updates to Google Home devices. The god news is it is not broken or defective, we simply need to reset the bulb to reconnect it to your Google Home device.
To reset your bulb, you will need to turn it off. Then, after about 10 seconds, you will need to turn it on for 8 seconds, then off for two seconds, on for 8 seconds, off for 2 seconds... Keep repeating until you see the bulb flash. You can also find the instructions here: https://support.cbyge.com/hc/en-us/articles/360015498292-How-To-Factory-Reset-Your-C-Life-C-Sleep-Bulbs
Once you see your bulb flash, try adding it to the Google Home app by tapping on Add - > Set up device - > Set up new devices. Then, chose your Home Location, and it should start searching for the bulb. If your bulb is on, it reset, and you are still unable to discover it, the next solution is going to be to factory reset your Google Home device using the procedure found here: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/7073477?hl=en
Finally, you will need to set up your Google Home device and add it back to the app again using the steps found here: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/7029485?co=GENIE.Platform%3DAndroid&hl=en
Once your Google Home is reconnected, then try adding the bulb again.

Will not work with Lenovo Smart Clock

Cool Features, Needs better/faster connectivity
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The C-Sleep are bluetooth low energy (BLE) smart LED bulbs. They provide three different color temperatures of light, vibrant for early morning which is a white outdoor light temperature, active which is a neutral indoor like color temperature, and calm which is a deeper orange like color to be used to help get to sleep. The C by GE app calls these moods. Aside from setting the mood you can also control bulb brightness. As usual, the app gives granularity from 0 to 100% in 1% increments though the bulb itself may only actually achieve a smaller percentage of these steps. As usual, you can group multiple bulbs together into a room and create scenes for a room. What;s nice with this is that you can set a scene, combination of mood, brightness per bulb that automatically go active at different times of day without requiring connection to your phone to take effect. This is quite nice because one downside of these bulbs using BLE is that reconnecting to the bulbs once you've been away is slow and even after reconnecting, there's a noticeable delay for something that's being controlled locally. The bulbs can also be setup via a google home device or a GE specific gateway/controller that's installed nearby. These should maintain constant contact with the bulbs and allow for quicker response. Out of the box however, this can be annoying if you're expecting your phone to essentially function with the same lag as a remote control. My only other gripe was that one can't fine tune the color temperature. The vibrant was just a bit too harsh for me so I typically just cycle between active and calm. I'm not sure if it's just implemented via three different sets of LEDs that only produce a specific temperature or if there are more smarts in the light. It obviously has some level of programming so could potentially use a dithering effect to help warm up the color temp. I think these LEDs have good potential but even with just the simple set of current functionality are pretty useful, especially for a baby room or bedroom.

Simple, surprising, and pleasant

To think that there are bulbs designed specifically for the bedroom seems to be a bit much, but that’s exactly what GE has done with the C-Sleep Smart Bulbs. The first thing I noticed when opening the package was that there was nothing inside but the bulbs. The instructions are so simple that they are written in 4 simple steps on the back of the box. And about that box, the bulbs weren’t packaged quite as well as I would expect. The cardboard mold used to hold the bulbs was not very secure. My bulbs were loose inside the box. The bulbs themselves are well built, fitting the mold of most LED options. Well, I followed the instructions, and voila! The setup is truly that simple. You can connect to these bulbs using your Google Home or directly to your phone via the C by GE app. Following the setup wizard on the app, you can establish connection to the bulbs. This process was simple and fast; I had both bulbs up and running in no time. Everything seems to work extremely well. The 3 light modes operate seamlessly. I was pleasantly surprised by how responsive the bulbs are, and I was impressed with lighting performance. Each mode gives off a vibrant glow with distinct color tones. I was a bit skeptical of the ‘calm’ mode, but I must say, it is very warm and relaxing. The ‘active’ mode is bright but seems to be a bit on the blue side in comparison to other bulbs. The ‘vibrant’ mode gives off one of the best soft white lights I’ve seen. Add to this the ability to setup rooms, scenes, and voice activation – that’s a pretty decent lighting controller. I see the C-Sleep Smart Bulbs as a viable solution for new or veteran smart home users. The easy setup, responsiveness, flexibility, and reasonable price make this one of the best lighting options out there. I highly recommend giving these a try.

Incorrect Bulb and Connection Issues

It had some really cool features, but one of the two bulbs was incorrect model type. I also had connection issues with my Google device and with the app. I returned and bought a different brand, which was much better.

Not user friendly.

The app that you need to use is borderline terrible and the functionality with Google Home is just not good enough. I went with the Anker bulbs instead and they work like a charm.

Horrible Smart Lights

The official C by GE app begs you to use the Google Home app because their app is pure garbage. Can't stay connected to the bulbs for more than one or two light changes. Don't even get me started on the reset process...look up their official video on Youtube if you don't believe me: "UPDATED: How to: Reset C by GE Bulbs". This process should tell you everything you need to know about it's ease of use. Save up for a Phillips Hue starter set. You won't regret spending more on an actual cohesive product. Swing and a miss, GE.

did not work could not get hold of support
