    Good hardware, not so good software....

    c by ge (now known as cync) makes good hardware, unfortunately, I can't say the same thing about the software. It works great when it does work, but the software isn't dependable as you'll find yourself deleting the app and reinstalling, just to realize the problem persists. this is on both ios 15 and android 11. I am hopeful that future firmware updates will address reliability issues. I wouldn't recommend this lineup to anyone until you see people mentioning the issues being fixed. If you don't need the smart functionality it works great, but then you can opt for a non-smart alternative.

    THE LIGHTS WORK JUST AS ADVERTISED. SET UP WAS QUICK AND EASY. THE VALUE FOR THE COST IS VERY GOOD. NO COMPLAINTS AT ALL.

    light quality is fine. Poor interface with WiFi. It is often off line. Needs constant reset. I was told by support that it only runs on 2.4GHz and your Linksys router wants to bump it to 5GHz so your signal drops. So you can create a second guest network. Or move your wireless router farther away. And then reprogram every other smart device in your house. Hmmmmm.... maybe they should have mentioned these issues

      The bulb does not communicate via wifi at all. The only channel that the bulbs communicate through is bluetooth. If you are getting a connectivity response from Google Home, it is more likely that the bulb needs a unique name (one that does not contain the name of the room) because Google Home gets confused by which device you are wanting to control. Sorry for the miscommunication.

    This is the first time ever I've actually gone one star. The bridge is nearly impossible to connect, I tried for like an hour a day for a few days and nothing. The problem is that when you get to the part of connecting the bridge to the wifi, it gives me an error everytime.

      Sorry to hear you were having issues getting your bridge connected to wifi! Our devices require a 2.4ghz wifi network to connect and use. These devices will not connect to 5g networks and if you have a mesh blended network then you will need to disable 5g momentarily to connect and then re-enable 5g.     Works great. The included hub is needed to use GE bulbs with Alexa.
