I went to set it up and it got stuck in the setup mode. Unplugging it didn't help and customer support was a joke. I got so frustrated, I returned it. Maybe if the setup would have gone well or customer service was good, I would have kept it. It would have been interesting to find out how well it really worked.

Solid HDMI Switch / media indexer.

I tried the Logitech universal remote and as adept I am with tech, I could not get it to do what I wanted. After installing Caavo and a few updates, I'm living the 4K surround sounds dream.

Adds more complexity instead of simplifying

Here are a few examples: - Universal remote doesn’t handle all features of the Apple TV, so if I want to use the Siri voice feature I have to switch over to the Apple remote anyway - I can have the Caavo auto turn on the TV and switch inputs on activity, but now if I put the Apple TV to sleep, my tv doesn’t turn off automatically anymore. So now I have to power off the tv separately via Caavo remote or tv power. - Sometimes the Caavo will randomly switch inputs or turn on my TV because it thinks activity is happening - The Caavo adds some noticeable input lag when gaming on my PS4. I don’t usually notice these kinds of this but it was really obvious when playing shooters. - the subscription fee isn’t really justified. The Apple TV already has universal search and voice capabilities AND those features are way better than what Caavo offers. So I’m paying to use a worse version of a feature I already have. - I suppose using Alexa was cool in theory but it’s awkward to use. I have to say “Alexa, tell Caavo to switch to PS4” Overall it’s a cool idea but in practice it didn’t really solve anything. It might have actually made things more complicated.

Posted .Hi Eric. Sorry to hear about your experience. While Control Center cannot pass Siri commands to Appletv, there is a way to search appletv using Control Center voice. After using voice on control center, you will see the search results. If you press the menu (three horizontal buttons) keys, it will give you the option to search appletv. We are working on making this use case much simpler in future releases. This should allow you to use Control Center remote an not only enjoy Control Center UI and search results but also apple tv's search results. I hope this helps.
Control center does not turn off your tv when you turn off any source device. If you are seeing erratic behavior of Control Center turning on or switching to different inputs, please reach out to us as [email protected] and we will try to see why that might be the case.
About your PS4 video lag - have you set your TV to 'game mode'? This might help mitigate some delays you see in the video.

Wish all HDMI-CEC controls were passed through but not all. When my Apple TV goes to sleep, if its connected to the TV directly, the TV shuts off, however the Caavo blocks that signal. Voice control isn't very useful and also much slower than just going to where you want to go. Alexa integration is hit/miss.
