    Evaporator motor failed after three years

    Bought this fridge for my condo at the beach. Hardly ever used. Has the Keurig feature which has been nice but the motor was always a little louder than normal and now only three years after my purchase, the evaporator motor failed. GE used to stand for quality. I guess that has long since been forgotten.

    LOUD fridge

    I both this fridge two weeks ago. The features are nice but the whole experience is ruined but how loud this fridge is. Over $3000 dollars for a fridge that continuously makes a high pitch sound when the compressor fan is on, which is almost always. I am so tired of the noise that I am planning to sell this fridge for half price just to get rid of it.

    Problems with GE Cafe 22.2 Cu Ft

    First of all, I would never buy another GE appliance in my lifetime. I bought the top of the line GE Monogram side by side and went thru three compressors before they finally decided to replace with another unit. we chose the Cafe22.2 CF with the Keurig brewing system as a replacement. The Keurig unit needed to be replaced withing 18 months of use. The panel touch screen unit out after 27 months, now the defrosting unit is going out. It makes a load noise in the refrigerator that is caused by ice accumulation on the back were the fans operate. I'm waiting for service, but lost most of my freezer contents because the freezer iced up and there was no cooling air flow. I bought the 5 year warranty based on my first experience, but can no longer trust the reliability of any of GE's products
