Love this new album! Great songs & amazing artwork!! At first I wasn't sure if I'd like Matt Skiba replacing Tom, but I've grown to like him. It will never be the same as the original trio but I like what Mark, Matt & Travis bring to the table. This album takes you back to their old albums, like Enema of The State and Take Off Your Pants and Jacket. If you haven't heard California DLX yet, your missing out. Bored to Death was my favorite on the 1st CD. And Misery is my favorite on 2nd CD.

So I'm not a fan of this whole "Deluxe edition" strategy going on. I can see why the songs didn't make the cut (most are written in the same format resulting in a repetitive listening experience) but they're still good. Yes they'll sound the same but if you're a fan of the style of music and the song writing then it's not a bad thing. If you're looking for a "brand new" Blink album then you'll probably be let down. I enjoyed it. I wish that all of these songs had been released either from the get go, or as it's own disc rather than having to buy the whole "California" album again. Since the price would've been the same either way I guess it's. Fun album.

Return to "California"

This is a great album collection following the release of "California" the previous year.
While CD 1 contains the same songs from the initial "California" album, CD 2 contains new tracks, including a live acoustic version of "Bored to Death." The new tracks are great and very reminiscent of earlier Blink-182 albums. Why a copy of "California" was included with this "Deluxe" version is still unknown, as CD 2 more than justifies being released separately.
All in all, it is a great buy for those who enjoy Blink-182 and who have or have not owned "California."

As much as I really enjoy this album, I am glad I waited and got the deluxe version with the extra disc. It's a full second album and I like it even better than the original cut on the first disc. All new songs, with the exception of an acoustic version of "Bored to Death". Both CDs are phenomenal and I highly recommend this to any Blink 182 fan!

This album overall is great. blink 182 takes a big step with Matt Skiba instead of Tom Delonge. It sounds different, but good. On the deluxe side, which is new, wildfire and Last Train Home are personal favorites. The whole album tells a great story and is best listened to as a whole. Love it.

Bigger fan of Alkaline Trio than Blink, but I love the merger here. The base album was great, the deluxe edition with an albums worth of bonus tracks is definitely worth it. I actually think the bonus tracks are even stronger and could have been a slam dunk album on their own!

Blink-182's return to the spotlight is literal music to my ears. The album sounds more mature than stuff from their younger days and Matt Skiba does a great job of making the guitarist/vocalist position his own. This album really does make one long for California.

I waited a long time because I didn't want to buy the album for a while and boy am I glad I waited. I was rewarded with a deluxe edition with more new songs and a live acoustic of "Bored To Death". Amazing album. Definitely miss Tom's vocals, but amazing nonetheless.

I was pleased to purchase this product at my local Best Buy. There were plenty of products to choose from so their was no way for them to run out. I really liked their original release of this album so I figured I'd purchase this item as well. It's a great album!!!

The deluxe edition adds 11 new studio tracks plus an acoustic version of "Bored To Death". Matt Skiba has more of an influence within the 11 new studio tracks and it shows. The song "Bottom of the Ocean" has some +44 vibes that I really love.

Bought the 2 disc special edition for the bonus tracks and was extremely pleased. This is a new sound for Blink-182 with the addition of Matt Skiba. His vocals are eerily similar at times to former member Tom's, however the tracks that really sound great allow him to really display his true vocal capabilities.

So this deluxe CD has 2 CDs in it. One CD has all the tracks (that were probably cut from the original CD) and the other CD is the exact same CD that came with the original release. They should have changed the initial CD to make it special, like making the tracks acoustic. Oh well. Both CDs are awesome though.

California by Blink-182 is a very good album probably one of there best. California Deluxe Edition is like adding your favorite toppings on your ice cream the deluxe edition actually might be that much better then California.

The deluxe edition definitely is worth the money. Part 1 was always good but for me it always felt like by the numbers. Although I missed that type of music still felt safe. With part 2 came more experimentation and more better tunes for me. Definitely recommend it.

I usually don't buy deluxe because they are usually a waste of money. This one doesn't disappoint. If you like the California album you will like the new songs. They are not throw-away songs.

The 11 new tracks by themselves can be an entirely new album. Much darker and in my opinion - a better representation of how Matt Skiba integrated into the creative process.
