Californication brought the Red Hot Chili Peppers to the public eye with its titular single that really garnered them a ton of new fans. The album holds its funk roots but adds the rock sound that really launched them. It's an incredible album with many great songs. "Scar Tissue" is notable, winning the band a Grammy but others like "Otherside" and "Porcelain" are just as heartfelt while tracks like "Get on Top" and "I Like Dirt" more playful. One of my favorites is "Easily" with a bridge/chorus that really hooks you hard. A definite must have for any RHCP fan and an instant classic.

An oldie but a goodie! It was nice to be able to buy a physical disc when I drive an older vehicle. Gave me something to listen to on road trips other than the repetitive radio!

I happen to think that Californication is their best album to date. The song writing is strongest here and they had mounted a colossal comeback after struggling towards the end of the century. They managed to make a solid album full of classic tracks that resonates with me to this day.

This album is undoubtedly one of the best albums the Chillies have ever created, and possibly one of the best albums of all time. Truly a classic, in fact, why are you even reading this review? Shouldn't this album already be on its way to your house by now?

This was a classic and was in the bargain bin, I am sad to see CDs are being phased out in favor of streaming services but I am glad to have a physical copy I can keep in the car, great for long drives!

Fantastic to find this CD for a great price at Best Buy. It's one of the RHCP's best, heralding the return of John Frusciante. The CD has great guitar work throughout and contains a number of super hits.

RHCP delivers some classic songs (besides Californication). Frusciante's guitar is out of this word. you can really enjoy it and feel it in many songs not only scar tissue. Different aim from the One Hot Minute album, but, it still gives you a kick in your brain with its quality of songs.

Bought this to demo B&W 805 D3 speakers, but ended up not using the CD because the seller had CDs on hand. However, the CD did sound great in my car. Glad to see that Best Buy still sells CDs, even if it's a very limited selection.

This is a great RHCP album. The songs are more straight forward radio friendly. Much more so than their previous more funk driven raw sounding albums. It is still a great album. A must for all fans.

I found this Red Hot beauty at the local Best Buy for 5.99 and could not pass it up...If you run across this one please pic it up from Best buy.

Californication is a great listen from start to finish. It combines classic red hot chili pepper funky sounds with a smooth melodic California rock rythmn.

The CD has great songs on it. IT has the groups most popular songs that was on the radio. It has a song on the cd that I never heard before. I started listening to that song a lot.
