Well this is a great game if you just wanna do a single player game for fun or for achievements. I never tried live on this but from other reviews I heard not good. But buy it, its only 19.99!

I was looking for a new game to play after finishing COD4. I never played any of the other COD games but after liking COD4 so much I thought that I would give this one a try. This game is just as good as COD4. It has the same feel to it, the buttons are the same, all the same elements are there that make COD4 a great game.

This game is meant to be played on veteran mode and if you do be prepared. The game is one of the hardest I have ever played. There is a sniper mission that you can do to end the D-Day level that is just insane. You have to snipe two guys with one shot that are sitting behind a mortar that is providing partial cover to them. You have to do this fast and to locate other mortar crews that randomly spawn and setup around the tower that you are stuck in till help arrives. So for 5 minutes you have to snipe two in one fast - with accuracy - without missing hardly ever, or you lose. You can't even memorize where they are because it is random. The first time I completed it I got so excited I fell down the ladder trying to get to my checkpoint and died. I had to do it all over again. I can laugh about it now but oh boy did that suck. It took me two hours just to get it the 1st time and not too long the 2nd time since I had the strategy down by then. . If you can beat this game on veteran mode you can be proud. It is one of the most satisfying achievements I have completed on the 360.

I got this game when it came out, and I loved it. If you're into shooters you'll enjoy this game too. Like other games of the genre you play as an Allied soldier in World War 2. However, unlike other WWII shooters, Call of Duty 2 allows you to play as an American, British, or Russian soldier. This is unique and fun in that it provides new environments, new challenges, and new weapons. The gameplay and tactics for each are essentially the same though, which is a good thing. Basically you fight along side your allies in order to achieve some sort of objective, which range from defending a position, to storming a beach, to blowing up gun implacements. All of it is genuinely fun. But they threw in an extra element to make things more interesting, the smoke grenade. You must learn to use these to survive machine gun nests and enemies in various levels. To conclude, Call of Duty 2 isnt a very unique game, but it relies on tried and true methods to give the player a lot of enjoyment, and especially with the low price, I'd recommend this to anyone.

great game, best cod until cod 4 came out. i got the game for 30 bucks and it was a great deal worth every penny. its sweet fps war action start to finish.

This a real fun game to play. Storming Normandy is an experience. Playing three different countries makes for a great feel as well. In all, this is a great game and the multiplayer is fun as well.

Call of Duty 2 is one of the best games I have ever played for the XBox 360. Once I started playing I couldn't put it down. The graphics were amazing and the game play was easy to learn and master. I can't wait to play the other Call of Duty games.

this game is the best on 360 it is the only one i still go back to play over all the others, and the specific reason i renewed xbox live it is made by the same company as the first, where the later call of duty 3 is not.

This is the epitome of what a FPS should be like. It has a great story, awesome graphics and very fun gameplay with non-stop action. A must have for any FPS lovers or Xbox owners that want some shooting fun!

I really like the CoD series. Got started late but the games are great.

Call of Duty 2 is the game that got me to buy the Xbox 360. The gameplay is superior to most and the graphics are great. The online play is flawless and fun. Buy this game and have a blast!

Call of duty 2 is better than call of duty 4 in my opinion. The weapons are great, the capaign is great, and xbox live is the best.

The single player story mode is awesome but the online multiplayer is outstanding. If you have a xbox liive gold account you must buy this game.

The graphics are dated on this title, but the gameplay is all Call of Duty, and are a great primer for the intense action and graphical upgrade coming with Call of Duty 4 this November! Nice that the Game of the Year edition gives the fans some face time with the creators of this great series!

Excellent game with real escenarios, matches, and weapons.

I am glad CoD 4 is out. After playing CoD 4, I thought I would come here and write about how repetitive this game can get. Even CoD 3 played JUST like CoD 2. I mean, hardly any story involved, all you do is follow the courser and get missions accomplished. A.I. can be "koo koo" at times, but that was expected. Never the less, very fun to play.

Although this is an older game it is just as fun as any other new game. The graphics arent great but that doesnt matter with this game. You have to get this classic game.
