At first impression, Keaton Simon’s music sounds folksy due to the guitar and story telling lyrics, which root themselves in traditional American folk music. However, it is classified as rock/blues/pop. In Simon’s music, it sounds as though folk bluegrass is elevated to the level of popular music via a contemporary singer of today, a cooler less Southern sounding voice, and ingenious guitar strumming, which reverberates and compliments the singer’s vocal phrasing. The music isn’t too elaborated like what you hear on the radio with all the background elements, but is simply voice plus guitar accompaniment. Finally, the lyrics are well thought out and sound deeply expressive. For example: Without Your Skin: “Without your skin I’m naked.” When his ex-lover is no longer there, he feels incomplete.

I love his album! His enthusiasm flows straight from the lyrics and instruments right through the speakers and headphones. By the way he uses his voice to capture the essence of Blues you can’t help but be drawn into his talent. The single “Good Things Get Better” has an uplifting beat and a tune you can’t help but hum to. It’s a great song to play when you’re driving with the windows down and the sun is shining. “Nobody Knows,” another key song on the album, talks about knowing someone more than anyone else does, and has an ‘I’m in love with you’ kind of tune. Looking for clever lyrics? The song “Currently” uses a play on words and has a blues beat to it, which is a nice mix in the album songs. I could go on and on but you should just listen for yourself!

I'd like to take this album and hide it from the world so it can be my own little secret. I can't even begin to describe how thoroughly enchanted you will be with Keaton Simons. Proceed with caution, cause he sneaks up on you. If you're not knocked off your feet by his voice alone, the perfect blend of music and lyrics will leave you breathless. The slow and sexy first track, 'Without Your Skin,' will hook you right out of the gate. By the last track, the catchy, upbeat 'Can You Hear Me,' the only disappointment you will have is that there are no more songs on the album. Pure, raw talent oozes out of this album as you listen to it. After you put it in your CD player and hit play, buckle up. It's quite a ride.

Keaton Simon’s album Can You Hear Me reflects a modern blues and pop blend that resonates with charming personality. The production and acoustics are crisp while his songs beg to be sung along with. Acoustically he is comparative to Jack Johnson with a pop/blues sound similar to James Morrison. He stands out in the music evolution through a variety of musical genre influences, refined rock acoustics, and inventive lyrics. Keaton Simon’s songs are refreshing and he has an original sound that separates him from the narrow collection of current pop.

I heard about Keaton b/c a friend of mine invited me to go to one of his shows. I thought he was awesome, but when I bought and listened to "Can You Hear Me" I fell in love all over again. I can easily listen to it all the way through w/out skipping any tracks, and an album like that is rare. If I was forced to choose my favorite song, it would be "Unstoppable". Yes, he's John Mayer/Gavin DeGraw-esque, but at the same time he contributes a certain essence that makes him stand out.

I'm pretty sure this is the best way to spend $10-$15!! From beginning to end this cd is a gift to the world of music!! THere really isn't' one track on the cd that I would ever consider skipping. The even more brilliant thing about the cd is it's variety.. Although there are only 11 tracks you find there is no lack of musical variation to any of it. My favorite track by far would have to be "Can you hear me" . This track alone makes the cd completely worth buying!! :)

"Without Your Skin" is the perfect start to this cd.. it captures your attention with its lyrical goodness. mmmm..The cd as a whole is brilliant, and anyone who can appreciate john mayer-esque music will love this one, although keaton brings something that transcends some others in with his own personal style. I always search for new artists, but none are up to par as the vocal, musical talent of keaton. "currently" and "unstoppable" are great tracks.

Keaton Simons is such an amazing artist, and his new album really shows off all his talents. His voice is so unique and has such a great sound to it. He reminds me of Jack Johnson, Gavin Degraw, and Jason Mraz all mixed into one- but WAY better. I hope he makes it big, because he really deserves it. Great music, easy to listen to- what more could you ask for!

Keaton Simon has a sound that takes you back to your memories. Simon has a heartwarming, friendly voice that reminisces Josh Kelly’s. He pours himself with his personal lyrics in that of classic rock. Simon gives a jazzy guitar performance and belts out catchy pop melodies that will leave one moving along to his tunes.

When I first heard Keaton Simons, I instantly loved his music! "Wihout Your Skin" and "Unstoppable" are the stand-put tracks in my opinion, but the entire "Can You Hear Me" album is great! I could listen to it all day! Based on the talent shown on this album, good things are to come for Keaton in the near future!

A friend of mine introduced me to "Nobody Knows" and I fell in love! It took me a while to get the album and when I did I was so happy. It was better then I even hoped for. It is a great balance of catchy lyrics, smooth acoustic guitar riffs, and breathtaking vocals. Everyone should own a copy!

Keaton Simons is the whole package - strong, unique voice; amazing guitar skills; and clever lyrics. Good things really do get better with Keaton Simons. You won't regret purchasing this album or seeing him live. Keaton is destined to have a long and successful career in the music business.

Keaton Simons - I can hear you! I love his bluesy voice and songs I can sing along to. After hearing his single "Good things get better" on the radio I had to check him out. I'm glad I did. I hope to see a video soon.

This is one of the best albums I've heard in a long time. I love every song on here. Keaton Simons has such a different style that you can't help but love. He is obviously very talented.

I picked up this album last weekend and haven't stopped listening to it since. Keaton really has a nice modern blues sound. I really recommend listening to this release.

Keaton Simons album “Can you hear me” is a perfect mix of pop, rock and blues. With his both smooth and at the same time rock voice his album contains a mix of these genres with both relaxing, beautiful songs like “without your skin”, and also more happy songs like “good things get better” that makes your feet tap when you listen to them.
