I’ve found them to be fun, easy to assemble and use and useful for application specific tasks including high definition audio players (with hifiberry hats). They weren’t, however, powerful enough to be very useful as a general purpose computer. This pi 4 with 4 gigabytes of ram distinctly is. It obviously isn’t competition for my Ryzen 7 but it is fast enough for general web surfing, and word processing. It came with Noobs which contains LibreOffice, Chromium web browser and a variety of other useful software. Next stop, learning to program with Python.

Cheap computer for a kid.

Wish it came with a cooling fan, but may not need one for daily normal computing. Set it up for my son and works great. Have not worked on projects with Pi yet. But so far satisfied.

Raspberry Pi Airplane Tracker
