Note, if issues get fixed on the functionality use of the product with the app & camera this can be a 4 star product.

Thank you for trying out Canary—I’m sorry to hear that it did not work out for you. We appreciate you for sharing your feedback about the desire for an SD slot. While that is something we considered in designing the device, we discovered that a major benefit of storing video encrypted in the cloud (rather than locally on the device) is that it can’t be lost or fall into the wrong hands in the event that the device is ever stolen. Secure cloud storage also allows you to access and view your recorded video from anywhere. I also want to clarify that, unlike some other devices on the market, we do offer 24 hours of recorded video clips as a part of our free service option (with full motion recording and 30 days of storage available through an optional Membership plan). Great versatile camera

I like the magnetic base so you can position the camera anywhere you want. I do wish the field of view was a little larger but it still picks most everything up. O like the mask feature to ignore movement in certain zones. I recommend this camera and the other Canary cameras. I do pay for the subscription service.
