DO NOT PURCHASE THIS CAMERA!! APP IS NOW USELESS
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Do not purchase this camera!! Canary changed the features on Oct. 3 for non-members to make this useless as a security camera. They have basically forced customers to either purchase membership or the camera is pretty useless as a security device (or much of anything else) You no longer get night mode or full video of triggered events for 24 hours. In other words, it now sucks. They have made it useless unless you pay for their membership fees. I do not ever write reviews good or bad, but felt compelled after paying for this camera and then to have all the features I purchased it for be eliminated by the company, it was a complete wasted purchase. Do not just take my word for it, read recent reviews on the Canary App and you will see hundreds of upset reviews. This review is based solely on Canary and the product, my experience with Best Buy has always been positive.

Outside Security and Peace of Mind
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the Canary outdoor camera to monitor my backyard and pool area. With a lot of kids usually around, it's helpful to stream live at anytime. At night, I use for security. It's easy to schedule different alerting systems at night as well. Picture quality is great. Extra security and I've caught several animals on my Canary which the kids like. Always great to know what's happening at home, when I'm not there!!!! Recommended!

Love, Love, Love
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This product is so cool. I actually caught my neighbor dog doing his business in my yard! I had both Nest and Arlo, and I liked the Cameras, but the app experience was sub-par at best. What good is a great camera if the app sucks!? Lastly, I really like how it blends into my home. So cool... not your grandfather's security camera haha

Does the trick
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been a Canary Flex owner for almost a year, and while it had some quirks early on, they've pretty much all been resolved and at this point I love it. The battery lasts almost 2 months for me, the video quality is great, and it notifies me whenever it detects motion while I'm away. Definitely recommend Canary!

Truly flexible and easy to install outdoor cameras
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great Outdoor security camera This product is what we were waiting for a long time. I was first skeptical to use this, but I have been blown away by the quality it has delivered. Here are things I like so far… No installation required - Open the box, connect to wifi and begin using it. I have tried so many other outdoor cameras and they all need extensive wiring and installation. Flexible - Flex is truly flexible. You don't have to attach the cameras to the walls, you can hang them, place them on a flat surface, and pretty much move around wherever you want. It comes with a variety of accessory options for creative placements. Great alerts - You get instant alerts with HD video once it detects motion. I get these alerts even on my apple watch. No DVR needed - All videos are cloud based. There is no need for any clunky DVR. Flex comes with built in batteries that holds charge for up to a month.

My Parents Love this!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought a Canary Flex for my parents to use at their ski house. They only spend time at the house a few weekends every winter, so they wanted to be able to keep an eye on it while they are gone. They love being able to check to see if the landscapers and cleaners arrive when they are supposed to, and are looking forward to keeping an eye out for the plow company and heating oil deliveries this winter.

Simple yet elegant
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great product! Very quick to setup and easy to mount. No wiring required, and I really appreciate the magnetic mounting feature which makes adjusting, relocating and recharging a breeze. Video quality/audio and mobile app are quite good and functional. The "Away" and "Night" features work well and are simple to toggle. I plan to purchase more cameras.

Really Like This Product!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I started using my new Flex camera and I love it. I own two of the canary cameras that I use in my home and use the flex to monitor my front door. The flex was very easy to set up and install and can be mounted almost any where. The picture is clear and the phone app is easy to navigate. I recommend the flex camera and at this price you can't go wrong.

Great camera
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The camera has great video quality and is very easy to set up and link to a smart phone. I placed the camera in a position to watch 2 entry doors and my phone alerts me if there is any movement.

Great outdoor camera
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased my Flex earlier this year to monitor my outdoor pool. I have small children and dogs and it gives me great piece of mind to know when someone goes in or near the pool. Great product! Thanks

Very satisfied with the Flex
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wife and I bought the Flex product this past August because we really liked the way it looks and we wanted to be able to see when our daughter got home from Kindergarten each day (she started a new school this year with a new after-school caregiver). So far, we’re very pleased. The feed comes up quickly, and the image quality is very good. We have it positioned by the front door so that we can get an alert when people are coming and going until we get home from work. For me the big win has been that my wife finds it easy to use too and isn’t reliant on me to help her figure it out. Only thief we’ve managed to catch is my son stealing Halloween candy. Hopefully, it stays that way.

Hardware Useless Without Ever-Changing Membership
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had Canary for 2-3 years during which I expanded to a second unit. I am now in the market to expand for outdoor solutions. Since Canary changed its free model to the useless 24 hour "clips" there have been many frustrated comments posted clarifying what I expect will be the demise of this company. The "clips" are actually more akin to thumbnail images of ones empty room before anything is captured. I've been waiting the torrent of terrible reviews to drive some return to a sensible alternative (note the Apple App Store review rating AVERAGE is a more accurate 1.3). I was even considering a membership when I started thinking of outdoor expansion, but refuse given the drastic changes they've made. After rendering the expensive hardware useless and disregarding customer feedback, I have no trust they won't jack the membership price in the future, keeping those who have invested in what was otherwise a good hardware product as hostage to their never-sated revenue demands. I'll buy a new solution in the next few weeks and I'm not holding my breath that Canary will make any demonstrable effort in that time sufficient to restore any faith I once had. Don't be duped by the otherwise great hardware into a poorly designed cloud-model service. Instead go for something where only you have access to your home security videos and no-one can charge you extra to get them.

Two for two for Canary
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My family loves our original Canary, which we have used for well over a year. I purchased a Canary Flex primarily on the strength of my experience with Canary, thinking that it would be a nice supplement to our existing Canary device. We have had the Flex for a little over a week now, and so far so good! First of all, the design is beautiful and functional--I was actually surprised by how small it was and the easy versatility of the swivel mount. Second of all, we are getting exactly what we wanted from the Flex--i.e., a portable, flexible complement to our existing Canary device. They work seamlessly together and the app is intuitive and easy to use and navigate.

Save your money!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We just purchased the Canary and will be returning it. It's set up, we've been testing it... only 1 out of 5 times my husband went to our front door, were we actually notified. I have it on high sensitivity too! The 1 time we even received the notification, the video didn't record until he was at the front door so I couldn't see his face/walking up. The Best Buy marketing materials and sales person said there is two-way communication. Well, there isn't. So... maybe we'll go back to our original plan of the Ring or try the Arlo. Glad the camera has such a clear picture but that is pointless if the motion sensors don't work and we're not notified... And for the record... the camera is pointing at our front yard with the highest sensitivity and my husband is mowing and has walked by the camera at least a dozen times and we haven't been notified once. So much for home security!

High Quality Product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently received my Canary in the mail and am SO excited! It was beautifully packaged and looks very sleek in my apartment. The product is so easy to use and I love the accessibility of simply using the app on my phone. As someone who recently moved into the city from a small town, I already feel much safer in my NYC apartment. Would recommend to a friend 10/10!

Bad bad system to buy into!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I made the mistake after owning my 1st camera for a year to buy two more for outdoor use. The way the mount is designed, if you use it under an eve it has to hang upside down the image will be recorded upside down with no way of rotating it. Also they reduced the free access items by 90% and now you must use their paid service that is more than $200/yr if you want to be able to get any useful features. Even when you did not have to pay for these standard access, the product and customer service was below average. If you have invested in this company you better figure a way to get your money back fast before they go belly up. Not going to be around for long. I think I will be disconnecting my units and selling them while I still can. You can get better recording systems with multiple cameras at Sams Club and Costco. Bye bye birdie, the Camry in the Coal mine just died.

Could have been great
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Canary flex has great potential, assuming you never need customer support of any kind from them. I was able to set up my device fairly easily; you power it up, download the app on your phone, pair it to your phone, connect it to your WiFi and that's basically it. My issue was I couldn't get the live view to work no matter what I did. It just spins and spins forever and nothing loads. It did work nicely in letting me know when people came and went from the home, and took a video of any activity when I put it in away mode but the live view is really what I needed to work so I emailed their support (yes email, no phone) and it took days of back and forth with them and it still doesn't work. I'm going to have to return it which is a shame, because it was good otherwise but what a waste of my time. With tech products like this you really do need someone to troubleshoot with you in the moment and live, email just doesn't cut it.

Very Versatile!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been using the Canary Flex for about a month now and I really love it. First off when you open the box the packaging is fantastic. The setup is extremely fast and very simple to navigate through. The magnetic base, is an added benefit as it allows you to place the Canary Flex either inside or outside. It has crisp audio, hi-def video resolution, which gives you peace of mind knowing that you can monitor your house from afar.
