the pro of this item is that there is no monthly subscription required like ring or nest or arlo. you can save 30 days of video free. battery could be better is not so great. other wise great product

This camera is great! It is portable, user-friendly, has very clear video, and can be used just about anywhere! We even used it as a baby monitor when our daughter visited with our new grandson! It can be moved to any room or placed outside. We have been very pleased with the Canary Flex.

The camera is very clear and easy to setup. It does have some issues determining between day and night modes. Also, the app will send alerts from the cameras even when we choose not to receive them at home. I would think this is something that could be fixed with a future firmware update. Overall, this is a decent alternative to other home security systems that are out there but still needs some work.

When I pre-ordered, the product had a list of features like two-way-audio, but those are now coming in future software updates and not included at launch. I was hoping the battery life would match the arlo or even ring, but the battery only lasts a few days, not weeks or months; and it took a while to charge. It currently has issues where I see the camera recording, but does not upload. The camera also randomly appears offline, even when the camera is seated close to my router. I'm trying to work with their support team (sent an email a few hours ago), but I'm not feeling super confident about the product.

I'm not tech savvy and found this easy to use! The instructions were very understandable which was very helpful. I liked the quality of the picture - it was clear and view was good. This camera gives me an added sense of security. I could have used one years ago.

I was skeptical at first but read reviews and glad I took the plunge! Compact, discreet and with great clarity! The option to purchase online monitoring which alerts your phone of any movement. You can then go to the app and view what generated the alert. You can also watch live. Live can be a bit grainy at times, but never so much you cant see well. Highly recommended!

Great product, worked as advertised. I had the camera and the app installed on my phone within 15 minutes. Great quality but picture quality and lag time definitely benefit from close placement to your router.

Indoor / Outdoor camera w/ battery back-up. Decent quality video. This does not have the home health features but not a big deal because it is in other units in the house. Using it indoors because it is smaller and can be more inconspicuous than a bigger unit. Have these in secondary residence as well.

I have had a monitored security system as well as experienced other camera driven systems through phone apps. The Canary I system provides benefits of both systems that meets my needs as a distant home owner. The option to watch live and see inside my home from afar has enabled a great sense of peace. And the clarity during both daylight and night is remarkable. Being able to monitor the environment is an added perk. The option to dial direct to local emergency response agencies is wonderful and further aided by the siren option. The talk feature enables me to talk to our house sitter if she finds a problem while she is there. We have an outdoor camera set up to view the pool which allows us to keep an eye on pool maintenance services. My only regret is that we bought one camera initially to see how well it worked before we expanded our system. Best Buy doesn't have a good selection of cameras in store so it is necessary to order and ship cameras and more expensive to buy them individually

These cameras are great! We own a couple for over a year now and have had very few issues if any. You do need to charge them since they are not hardwired and that is a bit of a pain but the instillation is a breeze.

pros: easy setup, no wires feature, quality construction, portability cons: does not have a zoom feature, slow loading for streaming, decent battery life depends on closing the app when not in use.

Once we figured out the bugs with our Satellite Internet we had great results either this camera. Our only complaint is there is a delay from when someone pulls into our driveway to when it actually alerts us on our phones.

Camera works very good. Quality of picture is good. Easy to setup. I had to delete the app and reinstall to get all of the features to work when I added a camera, but once this was done, no problems at all. Canary telephone support is friendly and helpful also.

After I had my car window broken, I needed something for my window in my apartment. I can't put anything on the outside of the building, but had to make something work to deter anymore issues in our car port (among other changes I wont mention here). This works through the window (even with Infared) as long as there is an abundance of light. If there isn't enough light, the IR will bounce off the window. BUT, if it senses that someone has walked by or in front of the view, IT WILL turn on to record that movement regardess of how light it may be in Night Mode normally. Day, it records clear and fine. Although I wish it still had an option to turn off IR. This company has improved it's product and membership service within the last couple of years. I have a membership for 30 day recording for $99 a year. I have the option of downloading the video if needed. Thank you!

Bought for two way audio which is a function not available.Waited along time since the white one was a new edition to there products. Over all camera nice and white and is very clear. App needs a lot of help. The wake up for the camera is ridiculously long. All I catch is like mail man walking away. Go figure

Absolutely the easiest install out of all my cameras. It has great video and picks up the slightest of noises. Love it.. only one downfall, I can't speak thru it like I can my zomodo cameras but absolutely worth every penny..

Picture quality is great. I am having connection issues with one camera but for the most part they work great and do what they are supposed to. The only downfall is having to get the actual subscription to use the talk function.

The camera performs great! Can change Location as needed And watch live if desired.
